Do the exlaimation points mean that it is a large cult, a super large cult, or just your everyday cult, or that you just don't like the religion that much? Lets all try to broaden our minds a little eh.

I think the temple is cool and will strengthen christianity in the region.

Because members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are Christians brother Walker. So as more people accept the true gospel of Jesus Christ, christianity in turn will strengthen.

Your question sounds like a set up...I was expecting that though. You know as well as anyone that we believe the LDS Church has the true gospel of Jesus Christ. Many other churches have the truth just not all of the truth. We believe the full truth of the gospel was lost with the death of the apostles during Christ's time. We believe Joseph Smith was called to be the Prophet in our day to restore the true and everlasting gospel.

The people of Honduras already have their religions and faiths. One thing they don't need is a lot of young Americans in white shirts and ties trying to sell them another American product: Mormonism.

Amen, the people of Honduras need the gospel of Jesus Christ too....May the blessings increase as they have a temple in their own land. you people have no right. you can believe what you want to believe, but dont be pompous and impose your views on others because YOU THINK its right and/or better. you spend your life preaching, but do no real good in the world. you spread intolerance and ignorance. there is so much disease, famine, inhumanity in the world... why not try to reach "your" god by doing true good. and not going around the world trying to convert people Suuz wrote: Amen, the people of Honduras need the gospel of Jesus Christ too....May the blessings increase as they have a temple in their own land. Pompous and imposing of views? They are not our views, they are the Saviors commandments. I believe most of us are more humble than pompous, but of course that is an opinion such as yours is. Now, as to intolerance and ignorance, you have just shown exactly that trait. You have no idea the work, volunteerism, donations, health assistance, and help given to those who have suffered, disease, destruction, trauma from nature, and a million other help given by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As for going around the world converting "people", that too is a commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ. Before you critisize, why don't you try first, asking of the Lord, in prayer, with a sincere heart the questions that plague your mind. I think you may have a good mind, but you do have a hard heart. Once you have learned to be as Christ is,(and this is without trying to convert you to being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ) having faith, hope, charity and love, you will see more of what the "Mormons are all about". Good luck to you in your search for Christ, it will be hard, but worth it.

They may not need any more "American products" as you put it but they most certainly do need the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was one of those "white shirted, young americans" in Honduras... and the changes the gospel brings about in those peoples lives is amazing... and they do indeed need the blessings the gospel brings. Another thing they need is education. Did you know the LDS chuch offers education loans to those of third world countries? To help them educate themselves and provide for their families, to progress, learn, and be a productive member of their community. Who wouldn't want that in a third world country like honduras?

A Couple Questions for you: Do you think we go into countries and force people to our religion? Have you ever wondered why the LDS church is continuously growing by the hundreds of thousands a year? Its because people believe and are converted. Just go ask a convert and see if they feel we "forced" them into the LDS faith...I think you will be suprised, buddy. My mom was one of those missionaries in Honduras and through serving, she became one of the people of Honduras: when was the last time you gave up two years of your life to go live among those with the "disease, famine, inhumanity" you speak of? Look at the eternal scheme of things, yes? Way to go Tegucigalpa!

Oh, and one more thing...
Speaking of helping the nations of the world with food, disease, etc. The LDS Humanitarian Services are the first groups to get food to a place with disaster or problems: within 24 hours there are supplies (meds, food and clothing) in that country! Faster than Red Cross or other organizations. So we're covering that base too!
