Feds Investigate a Utah 'Work at Home' Internet Business, Freeze Assets

Hey guys. Talked to one of the managers that we all worked for and he told me that we all need to file a complaint with the Utah Labor Commission. He said that if enough of us file a complaint the FTC will have to unfreeze the assets and we'll get paid. Good luck with it all and good luck finding another job.

Hey everyone! I feel for my friends and co-workers who are without jobs and are struggling to get by, I feel that we were scammed just as much as the customer’s were, never having the full truth. But, we all knew or were suspicious (whether we will openly admit it or not) that there was something fishy with the company's business ethics. For example, the company told us to inform the customers that their money had been refunded when there was nothing noted on their accounts; And as the company always said,“If it isn’t documented, it never happened.” The company had shady business tactics, and I think that it was about high time that they were shut down; even though it has put a lot of us in tough situation.
With that said, I have heard nothing about when we are supposed to be receiving our last paychecks… if we ever will. I have tried contacting my manager but every time I call I am directed to his voicemail and have not received a call back. So I have contacted the Utah Labor Commission and will hopefully get some results. Thanks!

What is your name? I guarantee you did not work from the same company I worked for because what you said is fundementally untrue. The company NEVER said any such thing. This company was the best company i've ever worked with, and I miss my friends and my managers. For you to say that they were a scam only means that you are a low life, piece of crap individual who has nothing better to do than post lies online.

My guess is you are not even releated to this whole mess, and just like to post BS statements to storys that don't even involved you.

ok whoever the person saying that they work for the paycheck company is WAY WRONG!!!! we have not gotten out last checks managers will not answer their phones it goes straight to voicemail I already filed a claim with the labor commision so everyone that has not gotten paid go to their website and fill out a Wage Claim form and send it in hopefully they can get us our money since the company is not trying to keep in touch with the former employees and let us know when we should get what is rightfully ours. Worst way to handle the problems award goes to PLATINUM TELESERVICES.

Funny, I have spoken to 3 managers and spoken with the payroll company. They are waiting on the Receiver of the company(or the guy who is running the company)remember the big fat guy with the lazy eye that was incharge the day the company was raided, HIM! He is releasing the money to get the employees paid. It is completely up to him, not the owners, not the managers, and not even the payroll company. The big guys who is now closing the company. The attourneys for the company have also been trying to get the payroll released. So if you want to blame someone blame that guy, the guy who is making it so you don't get paid. File a claim with the labor commission if you think it will help, but until he releases the funds nothing will happen.

I agree with you. And if thought it was such a scam why didn't they quit, why would they take tainted money, doesn't that mean they were scammers themselves. That would mean that they completely lied to customers. That would mean that they must be as dirty as the owners. Truth is they loved working there. They knew that there was NO scamming or dishonest things going on. They must of like the activities, the lunches, the cash drawings, the quarterly incentive program give aways, the insurance which those same "scammers" paid for, including dental and vision. Not to mention the PTO, the parties, and so much more!! Must of been a horrible place to work right. Those same "scammers" provided Christmas for over 5 company familes, and over 20 familes within the community. Those same "Scammers" gave employees second chances of employment (Mrs. Harrison's son), and a few more. Those same "scammers" worked with single moms schedules so they would be able to be with their children during diferent times. Yep these "scammers" were horrible and made it a horrible place to work. I hope everyone who is now out of work because these "scammers" completely lied to them can find a better place to work, because Platinum Teleservices sucked and the "scammers" made it a terrible place to work. Good Luck in finding a place that can match up to this place. I am not looking forward to going to work for another company. Thanks Federal Government. I LOVE being unemployed!!!

No... You are mistaken.

The receiver, commission by the federal government to seize and controll the company, should be given the award for handling this problem in the worst way. it was/is HIS job to get the employees paid. Every single employee was paid... even for the full day the company was raided at 9 am. Do you know who paid you... it WASN'T the receiver, thats for sure.
