I was one of the people who was taken for by this company... I am a single mom of 3 children and was recently laid off from a very good job, unemployment is not paying the bills and I was looking for another source of income.
After they kept taking money from me, I finally had to cancel my card and dispute the charges with my bank. Its still a mess!
Being that I live in Utah, I was surprised to find out that a company here was involved!

i worked for this company; and i will tell you flat out that the fox news report was BS. the little punk they interviewed quit because he wasn't going to be promoted to be a manager, not because he thought the company was a scam. he flat out lied and i think the owners should sue him.

and to the single mom above, im sorry you had issues, but i will tell you this that comppany policy was to refund anyone who called in, for any reason.

look at this site and tell me that it doesn't say exactly what the freaking costs are going to be when you buy:

http://www.redtomorrowfield.com/z/gtc2/...

it couldn't be more clear!!!!!!!!!!

it even says at the bottom that it is not related to google. how can this company be shut the freak down because some idiots cant read????!!!!!?

also.. i will tell you this too. the way the draper police dealt with this was dispicable. they pointed their guns at little old ladies, and even ran over my buddy in the parking lot, who had to have an ambulance come to the building. that cop is going to get his butt sued.

i think this whole thing is crap, and so do the 50 people i work (used to work) with. im trying to get us all to file a claim against the government for this stupid stupid deal.

fox13 did a crappy crappy bs job reporting this. as usual.

i haven't kept track of the amount of money we have lost to online "work at home scams". i like to think we recognize the m.o. now. We now have several online stores and it is the hardest thing to generate trust with customers, it is partially due to scammers. Some of the most legitimate looking sites and emails exist only to to take the money and run. i could compile a list of thousands.

thx, wabbsters

The Government protects the consumer more then they do the small business owner. I think it's dis-honest that the consumer is so quick to take action because they were the idoits that didn't read the terms and conditions. Take responsibility for you being dumb. Plus I know people making thousands of dollars onoine selling products. These people that "were Takin" were just too lazy to do the work. You bought a business, they just don't run and build themselves.

And as far as the "Econimc downtime" It is companies like this that help our econonmy. If anything the Feds should be shutting down the companies that out-source to china. Start buying american made products and the economy will go back up.

This google story is nothing compared to what is going on with Mentoring of America in American Fork. If fox had done their homework they would have the big story. Mentoring of America just got sued by the FTC for 300 million plus. They have some big hitters in the infomercial business John Beck, Jeff Paul, John Alexander. They are all being personally sued by the FTC. Although they have some success stories for the most part people are set up to fail.

I, too, am a victim of this story. I ordered a work at home disk and they took money out of my account. When I called to cancel the whole thing, I had to cancel 3 other "products", which I did. When I asked about the money out of my account they said "It was in an email that was sent that it was mentioned" I received no such email. Then I was told that if I returned the disk that they would refund my money. It's been over a month since I returned the disk and no such money has been returned. I'm am very interested to find out if there's anything I need to do to get my money returned.

Dude, that is totally NOT the site that people were sent to when signing up - and you know it. The site people were sent to had NOTHING about the monthly charges. Read all the complaints online at the links above - there are thousands of complaints and many people could not get refunds without doing a chargeback.

These Google work at home kits were also promoted on fake blogs like scottsmoneyblog.com and fake news sites and also by advertising work at home JOBS when no jobs ever existed.

The FTC used this as a plublicity stunt nothing more. They put over 200 people out of workclosing down a call center that was legitimatly giving refunds. You people that that want your money back now good luck the FTC will keep all the money it recieves for their own use. Fox news did thier lame attempt at reporting without getting all the facts.
If I got a call from a news agency I would hang up as well. Foxs should of been reporting on the 200 people who are out of a job and the FTC freezing the assets and not paying the employee's.
I like out of the 200 agents that they were only able to get the one little loser that quit because he wasn't good enough to manage people.
People just read what your signing up for its all in black and white but again maybe you can't read.

Pros and Cons - but mainly cons! I first reported on these scammers back in early April - see http://strangelyperfect.tv/3099/google-treasu...
Since then, the scammers have rapidly been modifying their T&Cs, which I've dutifully been reporting in later pieces. So @thisisBS is showing a new version of the redtommorrow page - and he knows it, as @Chuck Turner has pointed out!
AS for the call centre lay-offs. Is this true? Will people be able to get refunds? I think people's best bet is to be lodgeed into a class action against the scum and to register their names with the FTC to get a share of the $300m that is being claimed back as their "ill-gotten gains" as it says in the charge sheets.

A bigger problem has now been unleashed on the world of course. The google scammers have extensive contacts and shell companies set up in County Durham, UK as well as Gibralter, Phillipines and Cyprus. Although it looks like the heart of the initial explosion of scam filth has been quenched, the shockwave of secondary businesses continues unabated. For evidence of this, just check the junk spam emails in your inboxes....
I get a daily deluge that points back to scam sites with far worse T&Cs than the current redtommorow one in the link above. In fact, they are exactly the same as the Google Treasure Bollox from 3 months ago!

Daily Horoscope for February 11

Aquarius

Fresh air and remote places may have something of an appeal. Some of you may feel like getting away from it all. If you have the opportunity to travel to the country then do so. If not, then perhaps you can content yourself with a vigorous walk or a round of exciting physical activity. You'll burn off some of the restlessness by staying on the move but the open air will have the most to offer.
