Just would like to know how many people in the surrounding area have been verbally assaulted and cursed by Trooper Robert Atkinson. The motto of MHP is courtesy, safety, and respect....well this guy didn't study very well cause he shows no respect to anyone. I've heard instances of him cursing traffic violators and saying rude comments to people in the area. I also found out he has been reprimanded by the MHP for some of this unprofessional behavior. How many people in the area have experienced or witnessed this Troopers unprofessional conduct?

To Atkins 601, for your information I have never cursed any traffic violators, nor have I ever been reprimanded by the Mississippi Highway Patrol for ANY reason. If I have ever done any of this things it would be on video since we have video cameras in our patrol cars. So if you want to run your mouth get your facts in order. If you followed the laws of the highway then you wouldn't be on here running your mouth.

No he's got the right trooper. He cursed Mrs. Suzette Wright and he also cursed Mr. Bryan Carpenter. One of those conversations was caught on cellphone video so I know that to be fact. Mr. Stephen Simpson, who is the director of the MS Dept of Public Safety has been notified about this trooper.

mr joey lee if something was caught on video like that something would have been done with u may need to go ask mrs suzette wright how she talk to that trooper but there again it is ok for her to talk to him like that and why dont u get up with the trooper and ask to see his video of the stop and you will c who got cursed and who didnt get cursed and when u ask to see it u need to ask to see the stop with mr bryan carpenter because your facts is not facts mr joey lee but anybody can get on here and run there mouth but u see the trooper is the only one that put his real name on here if u see the video of mrs suzette wright u will see she is not the person everybody thinks she i promise that but just keep running your mouth just like everybody else in leake county does and not put your real name on here talk is cheap and that is all u doing is running your mouth about something u know nothing about just like everybody else in leake county

Mr Atkinson is a wonderful trooper and while you are talking he could have slowed down the someone who possible hit and killed your mom or child so think about that when you run your mouth you wouldn't even be stopped if you were breaking the law.

Trooper Atkinson is one of the most professional Troopers employed with the Mississippi Highway Patrol. Thank you for what you do sir, keeping my family, your family and all the other citizens family of this state safe. Its a shame that someone would try and slander Trooper Atkinsons name. When the fact of the matter is they got caught breaking the law. Grow up and take your medicine. Thank you again Trooper Atkinson along with all the other Troopers. Yall do a great job!!!!

Suzette Wright is an outstanding member of the Freetrade community and Leake County. Those of you who speak badly of her do not know her at all. I'm ashamed that this troopers friends (who have seen this video since they speak of it) would speak so badly about a lady with her high character and morals. Suzette Wright is a saint you hear me!!!!!

Well Trooper Atkinson I know you well. I guess I would since I'm your mother. You just remember one thing. God put you where you are. He put you in the job you have. He is the only one you have to answer to. People talk all the time, and yes most don't know what they are talking about. They just want to chime in. I know that you are a good person, and I'm proud to call you my son. Don't let people on here running their mouth cause he to think bad of them. Honey you know your momma would tell you to take time to pray for them. They need it. You are the one that will be blessed.

We don't need any Troopers....too expensive! Just give all the sheriff depts radar and get rid of MHP...the deputies patrol all the roads anyway...why u need troopers to patrol roads that are already patrolled by the county cops....they can write tickets and work a wreck but other than that....they cant handle it

The above rant sounds just like a trooper. Cursing every other breath. That's how we are treated when we are stopped. Racial profiling is alive and well.
