This is what you do:
Get people of substance to write character references for him : Pastor, teacher, mother, father, employer anyone and everyone who can vouch for his character. Send them directly to the judge. Be sure to address the judge properly: Honorable Judge __________ you would be wise to ask the judge to have mercy in the form of house arrest or work release or something showing that you understand his/her responsibility to the public.

For one thing, I hope your child is better educated than you are. Please, for his sake, don't write any letters to the judge. First-time offenders can ask for a Diversion, but with so many pending (felony?) charges, it is unlikely to be approved. I would apply though, what can they say? You have a 50-50 shot. Best of luck. I hope he learns his lesson.

we filed a tpo on my husband but then did a dismisal and they arrested him what should we do

My husband was sentenced to 2yrs for a DUI that was from 4yrs ago! This was his 3rd DUI! He for 4yrs as not even had a speeding ticket. He has been in prison years ago and I think that is what is hurting him. What can I do that would help him get paroled sooner than 6mths. That is when they are sayin he would be able to be reviewed. They are tellin him in there that it my be 3mths because the jail/prisons are so over crowed. PLEASE help!

my boyfriend got 5 years for drugs at the time i want with him wen he done it iam not the type of person who wants a life like that so now iam waiting 2 years for him. coz i know i have changed him alot. i just whish he was back home with me now.the jails are over crowed so why did he get 5 year when tere are people killing an gettin less for murder something needs to be done a about this.

Here's a thought; stay out of jail by not breaking the law!

My boyfriend is in jail for 90 days for not paying child support. However he has paid child support for years but directly to his ex and he paid in cash. So we can't prove it. He is a really great dad, he sees his children every weekened. He's not a dead beat dad. He even started college a few months ago to better his and his childrens lives. He's really trying so hard to make things right, but now he's stuck in jail for 90 days and he's not doing well mentally, i'm really concerned. The only way to get him out is with $7,500 and we don't have that kind of money. What should I do?

My uncle got arrested for something he didn't do... he's been there more than a week, they're at the point where they're going to beat him up to confess... but he is innocent... any help? Please...

My husband was in a accident after having back surgery, he was on his way to work the first day after a 6 month recovery, they tested his blood and found perscribed medication nothing else. 4 months later he was arrested for DUI serious bodily injury. He took a plea advised by his attorney. 2 years community control followed by 3 years probation. 4 years later and 1 year left to go, he was asked by a co-worker to help him move. The wounder man that he is helped. Two days later we found out that this person had stolen a tv that was helped moved by my husband. We reported to the police everything we knew. This persons moving destination was his own mothers house. 1 month after cooperating with police my husband was arrested for Dealing in stolen property, burglery, grand theft, and violation no bond, because new law. After 52,000 and threats that I would be arrested too. They had no case, he took a plea of trustpassing. Mean while I investagated the DUI case myself. One of the persons involved was a probation officer. A million dollar law suit was placed against my husband. I was able to obtain Medicial records through the law suit. Iv had a medicail professinal view these. No serious bodily injury. After setting in county jail for a year, my husband was sentenced to 3 years prison for violation of probation on a DUI with no drugs, or acholal, nor was anyone hurt. We have lost jobs, places to live, transportion and more. To top it all off they have moved him 9 hours away from his family. I have no respect for our system, or attorneys, our country is going down and no-one is doing anything about it. Good Luck everyone!!!!

Pray for him, and keep writting and visiting. You can contact a lawyer about appealing the court's decision. Public Defender's won't normally take on appeals. So it'll cost a good deal of money. If your boyfriend knew about a felony, or was involved in any minor way...he can be sentenced just as harshly as the main offenders. It stinks, thats for sure.

my brither was sentanced 12 weeks i prison for buguery it was his first conviction. the judge said he could do 6 weeks with good behavar or 12 weeks on tag how would we get him out on tag.
