Pam Holston resigns from Town Council

Pam gave her resignation yesterday. Just two weeks after Mark Jackson gave his resignation to take a new job. I think I would of gave it just a little more time so it did not look so obvious. Maybe she plans on going to help Mr. Jackson out with his new job.

Nothing better to do than make stupid accusations ? Sorry to see her go this town needed that female voice!

No accusation about it. Maybe you need to do a little more checking so see what had been going on behind closed doors after city hours. I know what was going on and believe me the town of Salem will be better off without her.

The best mews since Plaughers resignation, she never showed half the town and did nothing for her ward, it is best she is gone maybe we can get someone appointed who will care and actually do the job. See you Mark and Pam !!!!!!!!!! Thanks for nothing much

It was after city hours, during city hours and I fell to differ. If it involves the city manager and a woman on town council that seems to create a problem doesn't it, not to mention a conflict on things that need to be voted on. So maybe you should keep up with the things that go on in town or mind your own business.

That is actually what I am saying. How funny it is that you should know so much about the voting that goes on in the town council meetings but you still don't know crap. Do you not think that Pam would be persuaded to vote however the CM wanted her to? I would think that if you didn't know what was going on you wouldn't act like you did. Again, good riddance!

I'm thinking, instead of being negative nancies, we should all consider what jackson DID DO for the city of salem,,if everyone's so concerned about the state of our little town why not try some positive actions instead of 3rd grader playground gossip games?? you can't always have your way so get your thumbs out of your mouths,,change your pissy pants,, what ever it takes to get over it!

I know many of you know me and know things you read here are not always true. Just wanting you to know, my resignation had been thought through carefully. It has everything to do with me as a single parent spending more time with my three children...and as ap daughter..spending more time helping out my elderly parents. I feel the best person to replace me would be someone who is now retired and can devote more time than I am able to give at this point in my life. I thank those who have given me their support over the time I was in office. I always voted MY heart. But, I do look back and wish I had voted differently on a few things. I do feel however, think it takes a community effort to make things happen and make a difference...and I am in hopes that this will happen. Hoping that those sitting back waiting for change will get involved in some small way. As for the rumors.....I am dating someone very special to me and my children and he have hit it off very well. We have been dating for the last 14 months. His name is Greg!!!! I am sure there will be a few nasty replys to this ...but I will not respond. I don't play childish games. I'm not into drama! You will see me now and then at council meetings...or maybe out sprucing up sonething in town...because I still want to make the lil town I grew up in a lil better for my kids and theirs.

Good for you PAH-- Only people who have nothing constructive to say or do have the time to spread rumors about other people.

You know Pam I have kept my mouth shut long enough. You're not into drama and childish games. Well, I am the x-girlfriend (now, because of you and many more like you) of Mark Jackson's. So don't get on here and post shit that is not true. You've had a boyfriend for the past 14 months. Really.....does he know about the 300+ texts between you and Mark daily that just ended 2 weeks ago because he changed his cell phone number. Messages that started from you at 3am in the morning and went all day long even on business days when you both should of been working. Messages to Mark, where you thought "Greg" was cheating on you and do I need to mention all of the telephone calls that would last for hours. Yeah, so here is your nasty little reply....tell it someone that doesn't know what went on....to bad that "Greg" doesn't!!!!!

Really....say what you want. After you texted me accusing me and the MANY other women in town of thinga that weren't true...I did let Mark know. That may have brought on conversations about your insecurity and the fact that even though you two may have your problems he still loves you very much.....as I do Greg. Everyone has their problems....but if you really love someone....as I do Greg and I believe the two of you do...you work through them.

I would like to comment on Hate Judy's post to this rag. You have no idea what you are talking about when you talk garbage about former Mayor, Plaugher. That man never had a chance because it was people like you that didn't know a good thing when Salem had it. Did you ever go to a council meeting, did you ever do anything to help Salem in any way. It's people like you that hide behind these blogs and aren't man or woman enough to come out and say who you are. If you had any common decency about you at all you would appreciate what an honest person tries to do for the City of Salem. You have probably never worked a day in your life and maybe even on welfare for that matter. What did Mayor Plaugher ever do to you anyway or are you just following someone else's lead. You should really think about what you post before you post it. Someone out there is going to challenge you at some point.

I hope someday the citizens of Salem will realize what a great person they had as Mayor of their town, Jimmy Plaugher. Not only are you one of the most honest people that I have ever met, you are one of the most caring.
