Robyn Drown and Graydon Drown were charged with criminal neglect and their children taken away.

All nine children are taken away from a Marion County couple accused of abuse. 41 year old Robyn Drown and 48 year old Graydon Drown had a warrant served on their home in Turner, south of Salem.

This is not the first time. They had their three oldest kids (older then the present nine) taken away in California about 17-18 years ago. They fled to Alaska, then moved to Oregon.

All this holy act is a big sham.

I personally have known these people for almost 40 years. The parents were both born and raised in Alaska. As usual, self righteous posters have their facts wrong so they can feel good about pointing fingers at victims of governmental abuse. These types are probably the same kind who would see a girl getting attacked in the street and look the other way. This is a serious case of abuse. The only problem is that the Perpetrators are the little Hitlers in the system who misuse their "authority" to impose their social controls on others. Just like in Texas, the CSD criminals kidnapped, intimidated and terrorized small children and families. Now CSD is giving them back with their tails between their legs... how come no criminal charges are filed against those terrorist kidnappers?? Bottom line if you don't "fit the mold" expect to be harassed by government.

whistleblower is right, they did have three children already taken away. I don't know if they were born in Alaska or not, but they did spend a lot of time in the Sacramento area of California. They moved after their first three were taken, given to relatives, and had more children.

You all have some of the correct information here. Robyn was born in Vermont and moved to Alaska at the age of 8. She married Graydon in Alaska. They did not have 3 children previously removed from their home, HE had the children taken from him. There are 13 people he has abused on a regular basis. Robyn has always stayed with him out of fear for her children and herself. Yes she stands up for him because if she didn't she would pay the price.

I don't believe Robyn Drown stays with Graydon out of fear. She's charged in this one too. She's had the opportunity to make a break if she wanted to. If she was fearful, he & she both have large families she could rely on for help. She is an active participant and continues to produce victims for both of them. She is no cowering victim. She is opinionated & outspoken. She is also a child abuser.

Robyn is opinionated and very strong but not when it comes to Graydon. She is guilty by association only. The children never made any charges against her, only their father.

25 Charges each including 14 counts of 163.175- Assault with a dangerous weapon & 11 of 163.205 Criminal Mistreatment (denial of Medical Treatment)- both are Felonies. If found guilty, the minimum sentence for the first charge is 5 years 10 months.

You are not naive. There must be to support evidence of abuse by both parents.

I suspect Hubbard from VT is a relative of hers.(They even said she was born in VT) I bet Robyn is pointing the finger... will she claim battered wife syndrome? We shall see.

You sound like you have first hand knowledge. I hope that you are in touch with authorities and act as a witness in the case.

No, you can't report a parent for harshness, but you can watch & observe.

14 people in this "family" need love, consideration, respect, and help, to heal. 8 weeks to 48 years old. It is the saddest story, especially when it is your own blood. To all of you well-meaning bloggers, keep in mind that being right is not as important as helping your fellow human, kindness, compassion, and other courageous states of human conciousness. If you see someone holding up a sign tomorrow for food or money, give them a smile and a quarter. The pain of the world, such as that manifest in Graydon and Robyn, and their children-Including their wonderful adult children, can be minimized, can be overcome, and can be conquered. Graydon and Robyns abused adult children, are model citizens and wonderful people. They have been loved and raised by their grandparents, and their cousins who reached out, took them in, and helped them heal just by accepting them, and loving them.

This is a very very sad situation for everyone concerned. This includes their extended family who have tried for years to put a stop to this sick situation.

I hope the system works and Graydon gets the punishment he has earned for the abuse of his wife and children. He needs serious help to overcome his abusive controllling nature.

Robyn is my niece and before you judge her to harshly, do some research on "abused wife syndrome".

Yes, it is real. I am not going to try and explain it as you either get it or you don't because you have no interest in learning about it. If and when it ever touches your family believe me you will be learning everything you can about it.

If you can understand addiction to food, addiction to alcohol, addiction to drugs, etc., then you should be able to understand that a person can be addicted to the person controlling them. It is a very sick relationship where the woman feels, if she can only love this man enough and make him happy, everything will be better. But it does not work as these controlling abusive men are not looking for love or happiness. They are looking to control by whatever means work, the people who acturally love them. What a sick love with no winners, no happiness, only broken lives. It is sad that it takes something this drastic to break this cycle.

Robyn has probably done a lot of things she wishes she hadn't, and hasn't done a lot of things she wishes she had done. She is the one who has to search her soul and find a way to deal with this. BUT, it is probably best not to judge someone until you have walked many miles in their shoes.

This family probably would benefit more from a few sincere prayers and less criticim from people who do not have all the facts. The newspapers like to sensationalize things and do not always have all the facts either.

Hopefully the system will work and this will turn out as it should. My hope is that with the proper help and guidance, Robyn and her children will be able to rebuild their lives together where there is no abuse and control.

Robyn is controlled by Graydon, love and fear have nothing to do with it. And the last time I looked, it took two to make babies. In their religion, before they became Jewish, he controlled when they had sex and babies. The women in that religion had no say. You are right that Robyn is sick. She has no control over her own life. If you know her so well, and she was abusing these kids on a regular basis where was your brain or better still who is controlling yours.

Actually, if anyone harmed one of my children I would not stay around for 25 years. I don't think I would have to go even one mile in those shoes! Soul searching? The only "searching" Robyn is doing is for family and friends that still do not know the truth about who she is and what she has done.
Sorry, I know Robyn now and do not buy the whole "abused spouse syndrome" BS. When was the last time YOU actually spent time with Robyn and which symptoms did YOU observe first hand? I have never seen even one indication. And, yes, I am familiar with the signs and symptoms of spouse abuse.
I think Robyn is one SICK puppy but she is 100% sane. Robyn as the one who abandoned the first three children to go off with Graydon. Robyn was the one that kept having baby after baby even though she knew exactly how they would be "raised". Robyn is the one who chose Graydon over her children over and over again. It seems just to me that both have been charged with the exact same crimes because the blame is equal.
If you, as a family member, knew the history where were you when this abuse was going on? Why didn't you try to protect the children? Is it because the family did not where Robyn and Graydon went? If this is the case then I think you should all think long and hard about believing anything Robyn is saying now. Her only problem is that she has been caught. She will say or do anything to get out of this. I bet it is not the first time. Why are her family members willing to be fooled again? She is never going to change. Hopefully, a jury will look at the evidence and see the truth.

You sound like you think all Robyn needs is a few parenting classes. Think again. I too hope that the "system" works and that she sits in prison for at least 18 years. Then when she gets out she can answer to her ADULT children for the harm she caused them.
I guess you have not seen her in a very long time because Robyn is an extremely controlling and demanding person. I do not understand how anyone would want to see these children returned to Robyn. She had 24 years and 12 chances to get it right and failed every time. The only thing she regrets is getting caught. Just how many chances is she entitled too?
