Look at the picture of the horse that is starving down by Ashley creek. I have reported this. These people should not be allowed to have any animals. If you can not afford to feed and care for them do not get them.

Have you went above our local law enforcement to report this? I believe you can go online and report it to the society that deals with animal cruelty.

I think it looks sick. I don't know why it would be staving though, because I saw plenty of grass in the background. My horse has lived off the field all summer and he's 3 times that fat. I saw those types of horses all the time at the horse auctions. Maybe the horse is sick or has worms?

I reported it to the humane society in St Louis. Ashley creek is near Montauk. As you fall off the hill coming into Montauk you take the first road to the right. After you cross a low water bridge the farm is on the left. I was told these same people have been reported many times before. This horse could barely stand. As it tried to walk it would stumble. It broke my heart.

Sick or not, if the horse has not received care for any medical conditions it is still cruelty. I would hope for the horses sake it is sick and is receiving medical care and treatment. I would report it as well, if its not neglected then no harm done.

There are too many people in this area of the country that needs to be put into the same situation as they put their animals in. Absolutely sick and twisted. People who abuse animals definately have it inside them to abuse a child...but few people open their eyes when an animal is abused...after all, they don't feel pain or suffering,,,,as a matter of fact, they don't feel anything apparently....

When I talked to the woman at the humane society out of St Louis she told me that they do not call the reporter back. They handle cases all over the state so I imagine they are to busy to call everyone back. I agree with you Salem Raised.

i once got a horse from a couple because it looked like this. some times if they are fed too much protien it wont matter if they have grass
|
