Anyone else tired of the Salem Post Office and the long lines out the door with only one person working the window? I was there the other day and the lady at the window called for help from those working in the back. Nobody came forward to help her and you could hear them all talking back there. Some people didn't even have post office business. They just came to talk to the lady at the window about a bunch of stuff that wasn't related to the post office while all of us stood and waited. Why isn't the postmaster out there helping? I don't think I've ever seen the man. Who is he?

Thats why we drive to Jadwin and use their post office. We don't mess with the one in Salem anymore. Jadwin has better service and friendlier people.

The Salem Post Office employees will most certainly not be running the health care system. The Post Office is no longer part of our government so you're also wrong about the larger implication of your statement.
Besides, I don't think the government is taking over health care anyway.

They may not be running health care system, but USPS is a federal run progam and have been since Benjarmin Franklin appointed the first postmaster general in 1775.OldOzarkCrow USPS is part of the federal goverment and unfortunately Mr. Obama is trying to spend 600 billion to get federal health care started. That will be as big of a diaster as USPS.Better get your appointments weeks ahead of time.Federal gov. is in auto industy, banking, and spending billions of our tax dollars to do it.

It did start out that way but in 1970 Richard Nixon changed its status. It is a quasi-government agency because it is run by folks appointed by the President but due to the 1971 act, it's not actually the same thing it was before that. Back then, the guy who ran the Post Office was part of the President's cabinet. Now its run by a board of govenors so far from the same thing though technically still part of the government. But it's not the same thing as it was.

There are lots of crazy things that happen at the Salem Hospital that make you wonder about how competent the staff is...but this issue should be another topic on this blog and not under the post office one.

I often have bad experience with the incompetents working at the post office as well. The only decent one is the the nice looking young woman. She seems to be the only one who is competent and willing to do her job there.

i have a po box and there has been many times that my mail was tore up because of them cramming it in to my box. I try to check every day. But sometime you get big mail they will just CRAM it in there. I have had the same PO box of 3 yrs and still get other people mail. They would return my hubsands mail when we first got married. NBecause he wasnt on the PO box. Well that is fine but they need to keep updated Im tired of getting other peoples mail that in return causes my mail to get toren up

She dosent work there any more...she might be going back to salem. True anybody?

The postmaster in salem, donald, needs to be removed and probed. He is the most rude, inhuman gov't "worker" i have ever seen. wht a jerk.

Daily Horoscope for December 17

Pisces

If you want to make the best of the day you should lock yourself away and work on your own. This will make it easier to concentrate, especially if you're trying to focus on something that's fiddly or difficult. If you've got something on your mind at the moment it will be worth having a quiet word in someone's ear because they'll help you to get things into their proper perspective.
