Woman Pregnant With 18th Child

SHE must be out of her mind..18 kids...Good Lord. I can't even imagen having 18 kids. One was plenty for me. Lol.

OK, What do they do for a living and how to they support all these children? I always here theses stories and they seem so unrealistic. The economy is rough so where does the money come from.

I can't afford one yet 18 back to back. I would love to have more children but in today's world I cannot afford them. Where do I get a job paying me what they are making so I can go there today!

That's just rediculous. Probably drug dealing to make all that loot to support the family.

How can they support all these children? And when it comes to sending them to college, will they be able to afford it?
I would like to know what kind of income the parents make?
And by her having all these kids, how can she hold a job? She's always taking off having these kids.

You guys are rude!! They live in a 7,000 square foot house - what business is it of yours what they do for a living. Not my cup of tea - 2 were fine for me - but this is not your business.

i guess they don't believe in contraception. she's been pregnant for a total of 11 years!

This couple is truly living the lifestyle as was traditional in biblical days. The children are probably physically, mentally and spiritually healthier than any "modern" day child or teen. I admire this couple and pray the God will continue to bless them....

They made it our business when they out the family on tv with their own show.

Congratulations!!! if its a boy you should name him Jin for "super excellent" if its a girl you should name her Jacinda it means beautiful, whatever you decide to name the baby, congrats on the latest member of your team

What difference does it make to you?
You are not responsible. That's the problem with society today. People worry so much about support, college, fads, peers, society, etc. that they have gotten far away from the way family life used to be. That's why there are so many medical issues and stress-related illnesses and deaths. These people are a living example of the true meaning of family and community. Who cares about the things you mentioned; life is more valuable than support and college.....you can't take money or education to heaven with you. Learn to enjoy life and do with your body what is was created to do!!!1

Saw the family on the Today show.

It is amazing, what people are doing.. Do not all of you realize MANY of our problems today are related to population density? Shortages of food, gas, energy you name it. If there were less of us we could survive. Putting it off on your "God" Your God gave you the intelligence to save yourselves. This world was given into our keeping - No matter who you worship this is still true. We should have the intelligence to stop having too many children. Do you know the DFW area alone is expected to face water shortages by 2063? Whoever you may worship, they expect us to take care of ourselves and the planet which gave birth to us all.

Obviously, you don't read well. Not every child is cut out for college, but there are loans. Most childer who pay for their own college education make the most of it. And the mother home schools the children. why would she have to work? Of course it isn't cheap, but they live by the bible and faith in God. That is something to be respected not critizied. One mother and one father. All children should be so lucky.

Good for them! I've seen many of their TV specials over the years and they really seem like such a wonderful loving family. For all you negative, judgmental people out there, you might want to do a little research before you criticize! They built their home themselves. Mrs. Duggar is a stay-at-home Mom who home-schools all the children, and also who won the Mom of the Year award in their state a few years ago. They make many of their own clothes. All the kids help out around the house and do as much for themselves as possible. They are financially strong thanks to Jim Bob's career and some very smart business and investment decisions they've made since they were married. No, they're not drug dealers like John suggested. What a stupid thing to say. Congratulations to the Duggars on #18!! You're an inspiration to me as I raise my two little munchkins!!! I hope my boys turn out at least half as good as yours have!!

That is wonderful. Not every child goes to college,or needs to go to college. And look at all the people who have lots of money and material things...they are MISERABLE! If more people would live their lives with strong values and family ties, the world would be a much better place. God Bless the Duggers!

I have seen a documentary on this family and they have answered many of the questions and concerns people are raising here. This family makes it on one income...the father's. He has his own company. The mother does not work but stays home and home school's her children.

They have no debt. That's right. No debt. They made a decision years ago that if they didn't have cash for something they would do without it. Before her first child was born they both worked as real estate agents. They bought land. That 7,000 square foot house? They built it on land they bought years ago. That's Poured the foundation and everything. They bought enough land for all of their children to live close by and plan on giving it to their kids when they marry.

They grow a lot of their own food and make a lot of their own clothes. They also shop at thrift stores, Walmart and Cosco.

How can they afford so many children? They save their money and spend it wisely.

I don't know what they do for a living but they have no debt. I know that Jim Bob served in the state government for a few terms but not anymore. And as far as the 7,000 sf house goes, they built the house. ALL the kids and parents were involved with the building. I've seen a few of their tv shows and they are truly an amazing family.

Why not keep having kids? Have you seen their house and the pictures and tv specials? Money is not an issue, and she has the older ones doing everything. They live in their own little "cult" out there.
