I was told the Denny was a Repblican Party Comitteeman.

To wonder: Do you always believe everything you hear? So what if he was??...and he wasn't, as far as I know and how would that impact his being a good sheriff?

Hey ,Scott Halloway is the best man for the job.When he was a deputy he was allways out on patrol.Isnt that what you want to feel safe?Just curious....

Well, Nat, that's important but as sheriff the job would involve a lot more management skills, etc,as well as patrolling. The sheriff also needs to have sound judgement as to the deputies he would choose. I think the best person for the job of sheriff is Dennie Bost...he was a deputy for awhile and spent many years as Salem city policeman. The other guys running may all be good candidates but I do know for a fact, that Dennie is a good man! Vote Bost for Fulton Co Sheriff!

As matter of fact this is my first time on the Salem sight, DUMB.
And I does take a person with management skills and may I also say that I have been a buisness owner myself and a Fire Chief for many years, as well as an officer with plenty of expierence as far as sound judgement as to whom I may hire or not hire...take a look at the residing sheriffs taste in officers,and yes Dennie is a good man that I hold in high regard as a person, always have, but you need to stop and take a look at all of the candidates records as far as commitment to the county what have they done to accomplish a weighing factor as to fullfilling thier obligation to the residence. As far as I, go I have been volunteering for many tasks that take alot of my time without asking for pay. The compensation that has been rewarded to me by the people of Fulton County you can not set a price to. And whether I am elected or not I will conyinue to serve my county in every aspect that I am able to full fill, anyone who knows me will tell you the same.
I would like to ask for your support and lets put law enforcement back into the hands of the people of Fulton County and not just a few, I as a tax paying citizen deserve equal law enforcement as does everyone of you and my pledge to you is there will be equal law enforcement coverage, and a Sheriffs office that you can count on trust and not be an embarrisment to ourselves and the surrounding areas..

re. residing sheriffs taste in officers ? Scott are you not a past employee? Quick to draw a gun,quick to steal speakers ,do pit manuvers with juviniles in a police vehicle, as for years of training working for the DTF! got caught with drugs oh yeah

I have no response to that except for the fact that "that shalt not bare false witness against your neighbor"......its from a book I read several times its called the "Bible",pick it up and have a good read you might honestly learn something....

I usually just troll this site but tonight I had to comment. Denny Bost is not the President of the Republican party for Fulton County. That person would be Gary Phillips.
I hope that clears up any confusion.

What does being a Democrat or a Republican have to do with the job of being sheriff in Fulton Co.?

I would like to state that being a republican or a democrat has no bearing on your ability to be a good sheriff. Experience, training, administrative skills, and most importantly a strong desire to work hard to make Fulton County a better, safer place to live and raise a family. I meet all these and would ask everyone reading this to consider me before casting your vote. I you have an oppurtunity to read this weeks paper, please do so it has an article of response to four question asked of each candidate. It is our money that pays for a sheriff's department. Why not have the best one we can.

I have been wanting to put this question to each of the sheriff candidates. I was actually online trying to find email addresses for each of you. I noticed a lot of the posters don't even live in Fulton, County Arkansas. I do. So would each of you post your answer and ask the other candidates to do so also. IF you were sheriff during the Waco Siege or the Siege on the Randy Weaver Family how would you have handled the situation? Thank you very much for your time. Please ask Mr. Dillinger and Mr. Bost to also reply. I didn't see any post from them so I didn't know if they have been on this site yet. Thanks

Curious too Brian, My previous question (which was my first) states that I live in Cherokee Village. Why did it say that? It didn't even ask me where I live. I live outside Viola headed toward Salem.

Well, this is election day and since Sheriff Dillinger was the only one of the candidates to answer our question he will be the one to get mine and my husband's votes.
