"Motioned by Brundage Seconded by Riggs
That upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, a Deputy Treasurer position be established." "Mrs. Ray questioned the Deputy Treasurer position. She asked the salary associated with the position. Discussion was had on this position. Mrs. Ray stated she was uncomfortable voting on a position for which no salary was stated. She was told it was a separate position, with an annual appointment that is reappointed yearly and the salary is negotiable, and this will be brought back to the board once the person is recommended the salary would also be recommended at that time." Way to go Mrs. Ray, at least someone is standing up to our tax-and-spend administrators. Was this position in the budget? Is there a real reason why this position is being created? Just what in the hell is this person going to do? I think that I already know who they have in mind. Going out on a limb here, but I will bet one shiny nickel that Mrs. Crandall gets the nod. Anyone willing to take that bet? What a joke. Please some board member tell me where this job was budgeted? More of the friends and family plan. One more thing, this meeting was on the 13th, do you really think we will read about it in today's paper? SHS and the Salamanca Press, both jokes. |

Almost forgot, here is where I got the quotes from. Enjoy the reading.

Mrs. Crandall? But this would be a non-Civil Service position - renewed every year - meaning she wouldn't be protected.
Personally, I'm leaning toward Tom Hart, if they still don't have him slotted for the PR position. This might be their way to bring him in with "justification," since nobody bought the need for a PR person. Brundage and Riggs should be ashamed of themselves - but they have none. |

Where was Tinnerman on this?

What the heck is a Deputy Treasurer??
Are you fools just going to sit and let this happen?? Come on puppets of Sally HIGH, take the strings! or CUT THEM! |
||||

What does it say about the "openness" of this board when elected members aren't even given crucial information about district matters? Why is the board holding information about this position from Mrs. Ray?

1) I forgot about him. Makes sense though. 2) She already works there, that's why I said her. |

jody wheeler (whoever that is) has been appointed as the deputy treasurer
|

She was hired in the beginning of the school year as a teachers assistant but quit a few weeks ago- maybe to take this job?
|
||||

Anyone know of justification for this?
Is the business office so busy that we need this person? Have they lost other people and this is a consolidation? What's the salary? |

People should look into the facts before posting ignorance on a website.
There are so many more important issues within the school distict. Why not focus on them??? |

welcome to the forum bob.

Don't fault us too much. Given how often the BOE withdraws into executive session and the amount of district business they conduct amongst themselves outside of any official meeting, it's hard for us to get much useful information at all. It seems even some board members are left out of the loop. |

I heard Bob Crandall was having an affair. Has anyone else heard the same thing? Probably with his so called #1 FAN. |

Ok, here is a fact, and maybe, just maybe you can answer it. If the school has known for two and a half years that this position needed to be created, why wasn't it budgeted? Simple question, should be a simple answer. Please tell me how the budget isn't important? Really I would like to know. If you feel that there are other stronger, more important issues, tell us. We, the ignorant, would love to know. The school will be losing a bunch in state and federal aid and they have added many costs this year, so who or what are they going to cut? We have the new PR position, we have the new IT position, we also have the new Deputy Treasure position. Hmm, how many teachers will get the ax so that these administrative positions can survive? |

As much as I dislike Bob, I can't think of a worse thing to say on the internet. Without proof, I would lay off this topic. |

Let his wife worry about that. As long as it doesn't impact his duties on the board. Hey, Sabsrule, what's this about a new IT position? We already three people working in the IT group, right? |

I know Bob Crandall is NOT having an affair! Who on this earth would want to get that close to him?
|

I KNOW!! EEWWWW! |

Wow. This city is really unbelievable. The kids need to come first. I do not care who is on the board, or who the administrators are AS LONG AS THE NEEDS OF THE CHILDREN ARE BEING MET!! That is what all the educators concerns should be. As for the community members, SHAME ON YOU! What are we teaching our children by starting and/or spreading rumors on the internet! Who cares about the lives of administrators outside of their jobs. Are they getting the job done? Do they put the children first? If you want to rant and rave and start rumors, please get a new hobby. Hey, better yet...get off the computer and go help your kid with their homework...READ THEM A BOOK.
