Fly on the wall is obviously scared to post a name. My altercation with Jimmy is over and has been for years. I dont need to feel better about it and if u must know I was the one that had the problem Jimmy tried to avoid the whole thing. No I wasnt there it doesnt matter if I was or wasnt the fact still remains that a young man lost his life and a family lost someone they cared about. Rosier could have found a better way to handle the situation, you have to think its not just Jimmy's family that is losing a loved one. There are two families that will be missing loved ones. Also you have not heard me say one bad thing about Jimmy and not everyone is speaking ill of him, just the narrow minded people that didnt know him. I dont need to bash Rosier he will have plenty of time to think about what he has done in prison. His children will grow up not knowing their father because of his murderous actions. The fact still remains that no one has the right to take another persons life, its ridiculous.

i grew up with and around Joey Rosier and his family we all went to the same school. Joey is a kind and loving person. He has always been a helping hand when one needed it. I am sorry for anyone who loses a life especially at a yound age. But Joey also deserves to live his life not having to continually have problems with neighbors and be in fear of any one when it comes to his family. My prayers and support are behind the rosier family.

This is a case of everything that went wrong. A man comes into your yard and says he is going to spray bullets across your home were your wife and children are. Was he on drugs or just plain stupid? Did the police just not do their job? We trust and hope that when we need them, they don't just walk away like they did this time and the other 12 times help was asked for. This was probably no billed because a man has the right to protect his family.

I agree 100% All of these people are saying that he was only 22,a home owner, and had a job. If he was a mature ADULT,he wouldn't have had the police go out their so much. Thier is nothing wrong with having a little party, but lets be MATURE about it. Like on a week end shut it down at or arount 12, a week day shut it down around 10. You really dont need the music FULL BLAST, just enough to where everybody "in" the house can here it. As for going outside with a pistol, he (JIMMY) shouldn't have pulled it out unless he intended to use it! I dont blame Mr. Rosier for doing what he did. I mean come on the cops went over 13 times! GROW UP PEOPLE, THE KID WENT IN TO HIS YARD. I my eyes Mr. Rosier only protected his family and himself.

I have been trying to find out info about the Mr. Rosier situation, and stumbled onto this topix website. I feel extremely sorry for Joseph, and to the deceased (Eckenrode's) family. This is a very tragic situation, brought on 100% by Eckenrode. He should have had some bit of respect for his neighbors, especially after having the cops called to complain multiple times.

This story really hit home with me and my wife, and I will explain. First, I worked close to there at the time, and drove by as a rubber-necker after the incident, so I did see the very nice neighborhood - even if the houses are VERY close together, a fact which I'm sure contributed. Eck should have known he was bothering everybody.

Anyway, for about 6-8 months last year, a 20-something unwed girl with a baby moved into the house next door to us owned by her mother. These are 50 X 100 normal small city lots. Overnight, anywhere from 6 to 10 cars/motorcycles, and 8 or 12 "residents" started living with her. They constantly drove on my property leaving ruts and killing the grass on my side of the property line, left trash everywhere which blew into my yard, worked on their cars & cycles, leaving car parts, motor oil, and garbage, played loud music which shook the walls (although not late at night Thank God), hung out in the street talking loudly on cellphones, etc. etc. They all worked odd hours (the ones that did work), so loud small cars with those loud trumpet mufflers and trucks came and went at all hours. They were parking 6 cars in the front yard, and 2 or 3 in the back. They finally got cited by the city for too many vehicles (without us calling the city - all they had to do was drive by and look). My wife complained to the girl a few times, but nothing changed. Just when we thought it couldn't get worse, they all got mini-cyles and screamed up and down the street peeling out and doing tricks almost every night. They also got some old truck and worked on the engine revving it up all the time with no muffler of course, then "test-drove" it in the street burning rubber. Of course, all their "friend" with hot loud cars would drive by, slow down, and then peel out all the time.

You get my point. There were many days and nights I really had to fight not going over there myself, because I knew it would be bad if I did. I was enraged by the situation, and nothing we said or did made any difference, or gained any respect. Anyway, I told my wife (you could verify this with her) if we don't move, or they leave, I'm either going to be dead (killed by one of them in a fight), or go to prison for murder. And I didn't care.

This situation, although bad, didn't get as bad as Mr. Rosier had to endure for months. I fully understand why he snapped (or whatever you call it) and did what he did, apparently after being threatened by a gun from the angel Eck. I just thank God that this girl's mother finally had enough of her house and yard being trashed (and city citations) and put an end to it. If not, it's likley I'd be in Mr. Rosier's situation, or at least assualt, battery, etc. You simply cannot live a normal life next to this BS 24/7 every day of the week. I really feel for him and his family, and understand completely how he felt. Perhaps if the Eck had a little understanding for his close neighbors instead of his "up yours AHole" attitude, he'd still be alive.

I fully expect you posters to get after me for my lack of compassion for the death. etc etc. I just wanted to say I lived Mr Rosiers situation and know how PO'd it makes you constantly, especially with his small kids, and when you complain or try everything you can "nicely" with no results, it just gets worse.

Chronic noise pollution is a form of domestic TERRORISM and should be treated as such. People are sick of not being able to relax in the one place they truly have that right.

This case is the tip of the proverbial iceberg, thanks to subwoofers and legions of punks with no empathy for their neighbors. They are animals posing as humans, leeching off the benefits of a (mostly) civilized society.

As the world gets more and more crowded, these problems will escalate. Advocates of denser housing (to mitigate mindless growthism) are overlooking this huge factor.

These posts are sad to read. I found these by accident reading looking for Saginaw area news.

If I were on a jury however, reading the through all the posts, I too would have voted "no bill" on the grand jury.

The loss of a young man is terrible but the evidence presented shows that this man felt threatened and was protecting himself and his family.

There is no easy answer and these posts show how heated and passionate issues like guns and noise can become when you are personally involved.

Be respectful of your neighbor even if you think he's scum.... lesson learned.

Anyone who would "celebrate" Jimmy's death and back up a MURDERER is completed fkk'd in the head. Sure, Rosier deserves the chance to be forgiven, if he repents to the Lord and changes his ways. The facts are, Jimmy was quite successful at his young age, and he put friends & family first. Lots of people drink and have friends over and are a lil loud at times, but since when does that mean the homeowner should be SHOT????! So Jimmy had a gun.. well I can tell you this, he was never "trigger-happy", I'd hung out with him quite a bit and never knew he even owned a gun.

And sadly it looks like Rosier may walk away from this scott-free...

(NO FAITH IN THE JUDGEMENT SYSTEM!)

... but he will face the ULTIMATE judgement day and when that time comes, he will be begging Jimmy to piss on him in Hell.

Everyone of u you has something bad to say abowhat happened to jimmy can go to hell... u obviously didnt know him well enough as a person, so u make false statements to make yourself feel important!

Now i being a friend of the family for many years have grown up around him and his wonderful family, and JIMMY was NOT a "crackhead" or a druggy... or anything of that nature. Sure i do feel bad for not only Rosier, but his poor family.

How do u think those children will act in the future? Not having a father around when they want/need him... My prayers are out for the Rosier family.

And about the Jimmy not seeing his child deel... MIND YOU OWN BUSINESS!! Hemade countless efforts to try to see his child. COUNTLESS!!! He was always depressed and sad how he couldnt see it! But his girlfriend of the time was fighting with Jimmy and refused to let him see her!

The shooting happened in between both parties yards. And how is SELF DEFFENSE involved? JIMMY was shot 3 TIMES!! in BRUTAL ways... and his girlriend got bashed in the head. And wut really chaps my ass is that him and Rosier were friends. They talked practically every day, and hung out. Ya, they WERE FRIENDS! Then why would he go around and shoot Jimmy?

Ya maybe Jimmy should have thought better about the parties, and all the drama that went on, but he is only HUMAN!! Like u, and me...

I appreciate soo much those of u who left loving/kind messages. Obviously u KNEW JIMMY.

AND FOR ALL YOU WHO DIDNT CARE FOR JIMMY... YOU WILL BE HAPPY ABOUT THIS! ROSIER GOT AWAY!!! YA I KNOW YOUR HAPPY The case was taken before the grand jury and ROSIER got away with nothing.. HE'S A FREE MAN!!!

Rico in Ft. Worth stated
. The first thing every morning the garage door is opened and the radio comes on. Rather than park their vehicles in the garage they have a large table and chairs. The hollow confines of their garage amplify their noise over into my house 24/7.

WRONG!! He most certainly did not have a table and chairs set up.. he had a drum set and a punching bag hanging from the cieling.. get your facts right

i was at Jimmy's house well over 4 times a week, and personally saw his garage. Now i will probably get a comment back saying that i was a whore of jimmy's, that he paid me!!! ooh man well horse sh*t! think wut u want cause i was nothing more then a close friend

u people disgust me... these comments make me cringe not only with anger, but they make me phisically ill JIMMY ECKENRODES family has read all of these comments, and they r not happy about them. They are upsetting to them, and u people have no feelings. Say wut u want because i kno you have a right to express your opinions, like i am doing.

But seriously... its been 6 months since the passing of jimmy. Seems like yesterday all this happened. Its sad knowing that you will have to live the rest of your life knowing that u will never be able to see/speak to this person again.

I miss u Jimmy.... you were such an awsome person, and it was a freakin honor knowing u. Everyone misses u terribly, and not a day goes by when i dont.... i luv u <3

Dear "Friend Fort Worth", your name is also Anonymous... idiot. And your last line makes you a hypocrite. Idiot.
Of course every single one of us has had to grieve over someone. That's life.
In this case, there is just one more lying, stealing, con-artist, drug-dealing, crack-head, deadbeat dad, drug-taking thug no one has to deal with. Ever again! I can only feel sorry for the Rosier family and what they will endure now.
And I can't say it enough. The parents and police dropped the ball.
Teach your children properly as they grow up and maybe they won't be threatening their neighbors with a handgun while snubbing their nose to authority and laughing about and taunting it at the same time... and end up getting shot and killed for it!!!
The police absolutely dropped the ball. People have a right to enjoy their homes in a peaceful environment without music blaring loudly & disturbing the peace. Surely the police should have cited or arrested James and that may have prevented this tragedy!

Obviously James did not care about his neighbors who work hard to pay their mortgages or rent. As far as Joseph striking the young lady with the butt of the shotgun? Maybe the young lady was reaching for the handgun and was subsequently struck by Joseph in self defense.

The moral of the story is play your music so that you can enjoy it without disturbing your neighbors! And or play your music loud, confront someone with a firearm and get KILLED!

Unfortunately, most young people don't learn!
