in other news, the sheriff also stated that Jimmy Hoffa just ran away from home years ago and that the 1947 alien invasion of New Mexico was just a silly hoax which Josef Stalin played on Harry Trueman. Stay tuned for further details,,,,

He'ld been drinkin' imagine that !!!
Let's see who pops up here to say what a good man and father he was.
Good fathers don't drink themselves into a "coma" they can't wake up from when the car catches fire.

How long is your "Good Father Checklist"? Is it one of those tests where the score will rank an individual's "Father Qualities" as outstanding, good, average, needs improvement, or drunkard capable of passing out and never to awake? Wake up from your coma Bodie.

Bodie of Grove City, apparently you have never had a loved one who has suffered from this disease. I have and yes, the people that suffer from this can be good fathers, when they aren' drinking, because they do it secretly, just found out a family member is an alcoholic and has been for awhile and been a great provider and father, did we know he was an alcholic? NO, not until he was picked up and taken to jail for being intoxicated and combative with police officers. So before you begin making "jokes" about something you know absolutely nothing about, do some research on the subject you plan to bash! My sympathy to the family

Matter of fact maybe all three of you IDIOTS should meet at a bar somewhere close share a few drinks and laughs yourselves to honor this poor man (make sure you invite his family and friends) I'm sure they would want to celebrate their loss in your "joyous" fun at cracking "jokes" regarding their loss.... and lets see how far that gets you.

I certainly hope you don't categorize yourself as a "good person"!
Good people don't pass judgment on people they don't even know (especially when that person is deceased). You should save your insensitive comments for your friends and not post them on a forum where this man's family can come across them. No matter what your opinion is on this situation, I am sure this man leaves behind a family that loved him.

RUKIDDINME I have had acoholics in my family and circle of friends and all died way too young.
I have no respect for anyone who hides behind drinking as a frickin "Disease" that's a crutch to excuse their bad and stupid behavior. There's too many ways to quit and too many places to get help so I suppose Rukiddinme since it's 2009 you need to wake up and realize this. No one feels bad that a dunk got burnt up in his car because he drank his self into a coma.

Try having some compassion for the family this man left behind. Do you ever stop to think he had children that miss him and loved him, just as some of you may have. He was a human life that was suddenly taken from those that loved him regardless of what he was. He wasn't nothing to you, but to someone else he was their everything, have a heart. If you don't know what compassion is...look it up in the dictionary or stop posting. It's real simple.

No I thank GOD there's a difference between myself and you...Im a little more educated and caring where you apparently couldn't or don't give a crap about anyone or anything but yourself. And YES it is an illness, and YES it is a disease and YES an alcholic uses it as a crutch you total moron to for their bad behavior, and admitting they have a problem and seeking help in a treatment center and meetings is the first step to recovery...a battle they will fight for the rest of their lives...just like a cancer survivor...ir goes into remission and they hope it stays there, only its up to the alcholic himself to mental keep it in remission so save your "know it all" lecture for someone else that knows less than I do cause apparently, I certainly know more than YOU...have a nice day. And stop bashing the dead. It's so ugly

They also have help for people with anger issues and it sounds like you need it.
People are simply saying that regardless of your beliefs on alcoholism, show some respect for the deceased's family. If this guy did have a drinking problem, don't you think they've suffered enough dealing with that and now with his death? Now they can possibly log on here and have to read your comments? Just try to show a tad bit of compassion.

Mind your Ps and Qs today, especially when talking to loved ones or discussing anything connected with your home. You could easily get involved in a battle of words, or give the wrong impression and then have to spend ages putting it right.
