A quiet town

I just moved here back in feb.before that I lived in ryan and before that I lived in missouri.anyway I like it here but I have a problem with the law. I had to go to lawton because my husband had bipass surgery and while I was at the hospital with him,someone broke into my house and destoried it and stole a bunch of medication,I called the cops and they did nothing! I had a pretty good idea who did it,but sense I couldn't prove it there was nothing the law could do about it.. there wasn't a investigation done that's what really peed me off.

my nieghbor got mad at me and called the cops and said I stole some stuff outa her house.The same cop who came out when my house got broke into.I feel like he played favorites which isn't his job!but that's besides the point he told me the pa would most likely pick up charges on me for stealing something I didn't even do to begin with and they had no proof to back up their story,this is the same cop that told me nothing would be done about what happened to me because i had no proof.so why am i getting threatened with stealing charges?

I have been there recently and had to have a run in with the law with my husbands ex. Naturally he sided with her and said he was good personal friends with her. Just for your information I have found out he is the only police officer in that town that does anything and I would have to say his job is rather easy. I have called into the Mayor of the town and called Waurika to have an investigation opened up on this police officer as he calls himself. He picks who he has personal relationships with his own kind in that town and they all do their BUSINESS together. Its not right and its totally not fair. They need to finally find a police officer in SEVERAL towns and get rid of these Barney Phifes with badges. Im sorry for your run in. I know how you feel. Its rediculous!

I also live in Waurika and I have to say I also agree with the both of you. There should be an investigation.

It is very sad. It is getting that way all over in these small rural towns. I have lived in Waurika,ok for over 3 years now and it reminds me of the rural area i am orginally from in Missouri. Alot of corruption and cover-ups going on.

Don't know the officers in Waurika anymore I did at one time and I have to tell you that once a person puts a badge and gun on 95% of them change for the worst. I do agree that they should do the job the same way with everybody needless if they know them or not. But if you want an investigation into the dept you will have go outside the area like the FBI because in Jefferson County you have nothing but TRASH from the D.A. to the Judge they are all the same,
