I had the good fortune to visit Nocona back in the 1960's after I had met Jack Crain. He was one of the nicest men I have met in my entire lifetime. He took me to the boot factory to meet Miss Justin, the white-haired lady who ran the place. My visit to Nocona is a very sweet memory. It seems to me that Mr. Crain had two children. I know he passed some time back, but I hope his children have done well. In my mind, Nocona is still that place where America really lives.
