The greatest race Horse - Secretariat.

I'm a big fan of Secretariat. I read that he was born and raised at Penny Chenerys Farm in Doswell. Is the Farm still there? If not, what became of it? I would like to see it someday. I wiil never forget the 73 belmont race.I was in the fourth grade. I can still remember him breaking away from the pack and never looking back. 31 lenghts. Unbelieveable. His blazing speed will never be surpassed. My Wife and i flew down to Ky and saw his grave at Claiborn Farms last yr. Plan on going back. Could anyone out their please shed some light on him being raised in Doswell? Is doswell mainly a Farming area? Is his stall still on the Land? Stables? Anyone out there that saw him when he was very young? If i visit Doswell, is there lodging nearby. Like i said, i love secretariat. Any one work on the Farm when he was born? The People of Doswell must surely be proud to have had a legend from there. Everyone please respond. Long live the graet one.

Meadow Farm in Doswell. It is now the site of the State Fair of Virginia. They have preserved the stable where Secretariat was born, but I believe they moved it from its original location.
