please know that this man was innocent. the details of the investigation have become very fragile since he took his life, but know that KNOE reported a segment on this after being specifically asked by the police not to. the police investigated, questioned witnesses, and questioned the accuser and the accused and sent him home with no charges filed. this is an example of careless news reporting. had they taken the time to look into the details of the incident, and not just aired a biased account from the accuser and her mother (who did happen to call the media before the police) then they would have seen the obvious truth and an innocent man would still be alive. anyone who knew this man knows his suicide is not a submission of guilt, it is an example of how a person can be executed by the media before even being put on trial.

Easy for you to say, Annonymous.
Many questions remain. If he was so fragile that a false accusation sent him over the edge why was he employed where he was?
Did the victim really report his behavior several times before? If so, were they ever acted upon?
Does the Louisiana Center for the Blind receive any public funds? If so, then an investigation of LCB is in order.
Why the silence in the media since the suicide?

That's easy. They're afraid of being sued!

Innocent or not, anyone who feels that suicide is a solution to ANY situation obviously has preexisting mental problems.

One thing their final act does is convince fence-straddlers that they were guilty. I used to think that suicide was their way to avoid punishment. As I got older my viewpoint changed somewhat simply because some folks lives are completely ruined by the accusation alone. Think about it. If you work with kids (or those who are disadvantaged in some way and by virtue of their disability easy to take advantage of) and are accused of something like this, your career is ruined and you will be talked about for the rest of your life. There are folks who will think you are guilty no matter what. Just like there are folks who will never believe you are guilty. Some people, innocent or not, can't bounce back from that.

We say people "snap" when there are no OBVIOUS signs of preexisting problems.
That in no way, shape, or form means there were no preexisting problems.

I lost my job, was kicked out of university, and am now 75grand in debt, after a year and a half she confessed to lying to get back at her mother. Sometimes now I wish I took the coward's way out.

The present day process for females is to "cry wolf". It's their learned escape route. When all else fails, or when a girl wants to get revenge, they always say "he hit me, he raped me"........then the whole world is on the girl's side. Women learned long ago that accusing their boyfriend or spouse of abuse generates "success" for the woman. They get money, attention, "poor baby let me take care of you" from everyone. Same freakin' thing occurs when blacks yell racism. They found out it gets attention, gets them what they want, so they yell racism. Same excuse. Women learn from real young they can use that sex thing as a weapon and buddy boy they use it. Snare you into a relationship, then take all your money with that between the legs trap, then leave you. Then use that thing to accuse you of things never before heard of. Come on tell me ladies ..........you know you use it as a "tool of persuasion". GO out on the street corner and yell "free sex" and you'll have 10000 men lined up waiting. You use that thing as a weapon.

I agree. Yes accusations should be taken seriously. I have seen so many times that girls of 14 lie about their age and then bam claim statutory rape. Some 14 year olds look 30. The makeup the clothes are mis-leading. An accusation like this can push someone over the edge. I can't imagine. Can lose everything over one single lie.

You sound like a fool. I don't think you need to worry about the "trap between the legs" too much. I bet the women run when they see you coming. Bahahaha

Just being accused of something does cause problems for a person. The media shouldn't show, print,or make it news until it is fact.I think they should with hold the name of a suspect till proven guilty.Report on the crime, but by no means release the names of the people involved. The law when they arrest a person, they throw everything on them to see what sticks. Then when it is said and done, it's never the same charges they started out with. They never put on the news when a charge is dropped,or do you see it on the front page of the news paper. The way things are you are seen as guilty, until you proven them wrong.
