Gloat all you want Patty, marriage equality is still the law in a number of states, other states will join those and eventually gay people will be marrying in all fifty states, in the District of Columbia, and they will all be recognized by state and federal governments. Considering this is an issue that I'm concerned about, commenting on it is my prerogative. Nobody should be gloating or happy when other citizen's rights are able to be voted away. Civil rights always win out against hatred and bigotry, even for gay people. OUR constitution says, WE THE PEOPLE OF THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE.... so if the people vote then the people speak and that is what this country has always done. im happy it went in the moral direction.

See, it's bible thumpers like the starter of this post that make America run like sandpaper. I do not lack Christian faith, but I do believe that people everywhere have the right to be in love, the right to be together, and the right to get married. No matter if its same sex or different sex. Why should you people care about the choices they make? In the end it's them that has to pay for THEIR sins, not you. They are the ones that have to stand before God, not you. So let them do what they want, it's not hurting you any in the least. Another point, how many people now days have children out of wedlock? How many people are not married yet they are having sex and living together? One sin is no worse than the other, they are all equal in Gods eyes. Matter of factly, if you so happen to take a ketchup packet from your local McDonalds without their permission and walk out in the street and murder someone, they are no different in his eyes. So why dont you think about that before you go judging Gays. I mean since your such a good Christian and all, by judging people.

ABSOLULTLY NOT. sin is sin. GOD does not distinguish between sins adultry is just as immoral as homosexuality is. its wrong and if adultry was the topic of disscussion i would be the first to say, that is immoral.

I mean since your such a good Christian and all, by judging people. your logic is flawed simply because if everyone had the RIGHT to be in love no matter what, or with who, then pedifiles could use that same reasoning.... people who are abused by a spouse and stay in the relationship because they THINK that is part of love. older people saying they are IN LOVE with minors. how about someone saying they are IN LOVE with an animal so therefore they should have the right to mate with that animal and marry it if they want to. sorry but GOD who created all, and laid out the plan of man and woman......says what is morally acceptable in the eyes of GOD and that is the bottom line.

Equal treatment under law is guaranteed in the US Constitution. Which of your civil rights do you want people to vote on Patty? The real point is that no vote should be taken which results in the stripping of rights from citizens. Holy matrimony is a church function, civil marriage isn't.
