Somerset may be selling alcohol to thousands of lake visitors by Labor Day and the tax revenue will be flowing to local govt.

Are you really that stupid Christian people are going to drink weather they drive to danvill or somerset. The only thing that is more stupider than what you said is that we will be giving all the bigger towns our money instead of keeping it local. Just got back from Danvill with me a nice 30 pack of Budlight. Wish i could have spent my money local.

If you are stupid enough to drive a hundred miles round trip for only a thirty pack then you will be just fine the way we are right now!

Your kids will drink anyway if they want to,and if your wife is going to sleep with other men then she will anyway they don't need alcohol to do that. What duties as women? You talk like they are some kind of slave or something. Sounds like you have a problem.

That's funny because Mapquest shows 48 miles from Patty Ridge Rd off 127 in northern Russell County to Danville Walmart the nearest liquor store location .

To Selfish Drunks:
To have a wet city/county to sell alcohol for taxes, so government can build a public swimming pool or park, is a poor trade-off for more alcoholics, more drunks on the highways, more women & children setting home with no food or cloths to wear, because some drunk used their money to buy alcohol.

That's the problem, they don't think. No one is going to drink that doesn't want to already. People have been sneaking it is for as long as I can remember. They forget that the county has never really been dry, there has always been bootleggers here, and no body benefits from them because they don't pay taxes on their sales. It's all profit to them. People need to wake up and smell the roses.

If we don't go wet people here will spend their money in Somerset. I don't drink but, i'd bet a 12 pack a lot of people will buy their groceries at Krogers in Somerset so they can buy their beer at the same time. I would.

A lot of people already go to the Somerset Kroger because you can't find what you need in Russell County----------that won't change wet or dry.

Women are not slaves theyre our gifts from gods hands he gave them to us to creat children and be happy productive people not slaves because slaves are only good for work and not having children you must have one of those ignerant feminist wives who probably has you in some kind of open relationship sick circle of sex you need prayers you evil sinner

If RC goes wet.... It would increase revenue. It would also put the bootleggers out of business and the under age children would not be able to buy alcohol as easily as they do now. It would also stop people from going to somerset or danville to restaurants/bars and drinking too much then driving back here home...under the influence. They could then go to the store, get the alcohol and go home and drink it. The people who drink are going to find a way to get it. Why not increase our revenue in this town, get some good restaurants which will create more jobs, bring in more tourist. Our economy is horrible here and its not going to get better until industry and and retail develop. That is not going to happen until we go wet. The moist vote is the stupidest vote there is because it encourages people to drink and drive.
Say yes to the wet

Agreed that to progress we must go wet. Now in looking at the state there are only small pockets of conservative areas that are still dry. And it would be best to go totally wet. I bet Campbellsville and Glasgow will soon o totally wet. It is good for the economy and the progressive thing to do.

For your information, women were created to be a companion to men. Slaves are people who are treated like subhumans. I feel sorry for you. You are another one who sits in judgement of people that you don't know and have never met. Your wife/husband must be running around on you. Judge not, lest ye be judged. You have no idea who I am. I don't feel there is anything wrong with Russell County going wet. At least we would have a different class of people.
