Muslims shouldn't be allowed to serve in the US Army. Did we allow the Nazis and Japanese to join the US Army during World War II?

We have an imposter, I didn't type the above message. Not sure why it's under this story anyway.

I was driving at night where there are no sidewalks and happened to catch in my peripheral vision something dark on the side of the road. It was a person and if I swerved just a bit, I would have hit him. He was walking toward traffic, which at least was smart, but not smart thinking everyone could see him.

There is a reason this was called an accident - because it was! So whoever is commenting on the young man who died and the person that hit him, shame on you. And for those that say there are no sidewalks, across the street there is a sidewalk.

For those that have lost a brother, friend, cousin... my condolences. Don't let this "chatter" bother you - that's what it's trying to do.

Don't you allow blacks to use your toilet??
Shut up Leroy. I grew up in the 19th ward. I'm probably blacker than you are.
We offered - even offered them lunch each day. They declined. They get pretty muddy digging around the house. I think they worry about tracking it in the home.

my heart goes out to the family . those of you who said he shoudn;t have been out there at night, would you be saying that if it were your child that died? lets just keep that family in prayer , that was a tragic loss, for any family to bear.

YES! I would be saying it. I tell my kids when they do stupid things and encourage them not to do them again.

Ha that came out wrong. In this case, others need to learn from his stupid choice. Clearly he won't be walking in the street again. Maybe his friends won't?

Whatever happened to talking to your kids about wearing light colors or jackets with reflective stripes? Or staying out of the road? Or look, there's a pair of headlights, step out of the way.

Accountable for what? Police say no alcohol or speed. The truck didnt go up onto a sidewalk and hit him. There was no sidewalk there, just a shoulder. Those are the risks of walking on the unlit county roads. Unfortunately these kids were most likely walking 3 abreast and he was the one closest to oncoming traffic walking on the line.(and wearing DARK clothing).
If it were today, it'd been 5:30 and still enough daylight.
It's too bad for this kid and his family. It's also a serious and deadly lesson learned for his 2 friends with him about the dangers of walking at night next to a road with no sidewalk or street lights in dark clothing.
I'm not saying it happened in this incident, but I've seen way too many kids who purposely try to walk as close to traffic as possible on purpose in somw twisted form of chicken to be cool for the buddies they're with. Then they do the fake jump out or flinch to freak the driver out.
Wasnt there an incident little more than a month ago in the area where a teen was walking in a group and horseplay was going on according to witnesses and a kid got shoved into traffic and killed? Kids think they are immune to danger and death, their brains haven't developed enough to process consequences for impulsive actions or to determine judgement and risk. That's why there are so many teen car accidents when turning into oncoming traffic, they can't calculate fast enough speed, distance and risk.
Thats bull because Keith, and Derrick both told the story and not one did they mention playing chicken My brother had no reason to fool around... all they were trying to do was get back to my grandmas before a night of trick or treating

The officer accountable is my best friend. The whole story is tragic none the less. Don't be making up issues about him, none of you guys even knew him. Just because he is a cop doesn't make him any higher than the rest of us. With that being said accidents happen and when people are walking in the road its only a matter of time before something happens. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone effected by this accident.
Thats pretty easy for you to say because that was not your child, brother, or best friend that got hit and died!!!

exactly my point. if he was alive he would have beaten me up. lots of kids transfer states and fall behind maybe ONE year. but not two. stop making excuses. he acted irresponsibly, as he often does, and it cost him his life this time.
Seriously my brother had to make up a few sophmore credits, and we all woulda been at his graduation in June screaming loud as hell as he walked across the stage getting his daploma

All you people are ignorant, and kno nothing about my brother so how can you say he was a druggie or had problems? He did not gangbang and deserves respect... He actually started to get his life together. All he was doing was walking home for dinner a before he went out for a night of fun with friends. Ya he had problems mentally he went thru alot and finally found a place where he was happy. You cant pin this all on my brother. Brandon was a cop and should know what streets to be careful on when driving. THIS POST IS BULL

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Leo

Why are you still fighting, Leo? Everyone else went home a long time ago, but you're still here pounding your fists on the table. Although you don't want to admit it, accepting defeat may be your most practical option at this point. Sometimes it's just easier to move on than to keep up the fight. When you're forced to restructure, at least you have a chance to redefine. YouÕl get the opportunity to start with a clean slate, so use it to your advantage.
