I rest my case. People wonder why this area has become such a cesspool in which to reside. I submit exhibits A and B.
May I suggest that it has little to do with your submitted exhibits but more likely the supposed leaders of the community such as the Council, the County Commissioners, the Mayor, the Village Manager, the "acting" Fire Chief, an unscrupulous and perverted millionaire with no conscience.... No need to go on, although I could.

I've been tracking him he is hiding still in Fulshear that is right but not hurting at all as he hid everything with a man named Barry A Chapman. Look them up under corporationwiki. He owns a plane company, entertainment company and much more. A few bars etc. He is hated here too. He stuck a ton of people with unpaid labor and materials. He is a snake and still slithering around. You people have more people in a single area why doesn't your town take him in a class action or a civil suit if you want to cause him damage. the town of ruidoso could do that. typical small town, you just let people walk all over you. He can't show his face here, he slithers behind doors but at least we took his buildings away from him. YOU DID NOTHING> just bitch

You did not take his buildings away, the banks did, just as they did in Ruidoso. He left Ruidoso with nothing. Keep your condesending attitude to yourself.

Everybody relax.....simply raise your taxes again and give the money to hubbard.
And remember Ruidoso is number 2 in tax rates and second place is still losing, so get out the vote Fight Back become NUMBER ONE and don't let them move the River Crossing to some other town...or become a ghosttown.

Hilarious how you want to beat up Hamilton for being yet another opportunist who figured out how to grease palms and leave town with
an un-finished project and money in his pocket.....The real snakes are still slitering among us-doing business every day.
How about Mark Clark-the guy who got this all started-remember, he owned the land river crossing is built on? How about our Mayor-Leon...not only did he break arms and threaten to get this project through, he went to work for them after it was approved. Then we have Cletus, who was the P&Z director at approval time. HE went to work for Hamilton too!!!! How about Phylis Barnett on P&Z who surely was promised the title work? Mike Reveley was on P&Z and in the mortgage business at the time...his eyes were glassed over. Bill Hirshfeld, also on p&z, could just see those listings falling into his hands, Brad Treptow, who was with the chamber of commerce at that time-begged approval at the council meeting by stating that this project would bring in 5 million dollars a year in gross receipts for the village(check the minutes if you don't believe me) Hamilton "gifted" the police department and gave sick officers plane rides....and don't kid yourself about City Bank- they farmed out the debt to several banks and cut their risk to almost zero...and probably got a commission for placing the loans. Oh yes, and Ruth Chris was coming to town any minute, Starbucks had already signed their lease, and all the condos were pre-sold!!!!! Oh YEAH!
It wouldn't have made any difference if 1/2 the town would have protested this project-the major players had been bought and paid for-long before the meeting.....
Ruidoso was built on greed and graft and it continues today....and the players are still here.

John Hamilton no longer lives in Weston Lakes gated community at 33203 W Haddon Ct. I live a few house away from him and watched as the bank foreclosed on his property. He had a $1m+ 26 car garage on an acre behind his home, and his $3.5m home was purchased by a resident in our neighborhood at auction at a deeply discounted price.
John Hamilton now lives in the Fulbrook Estates community next door, and although he downsized, his home there is still in excess of $1m.
He has commercial strip center developments in our community that are still incomplete.
No doubt the man is a crook.

Thanks for refreshing my memory about a lot of this stuff. The past rears its ugly head again, but that's a trend here in this town that's built upon the foolish mistakes and indescretions of our past leaders and officials. Now we are paying dearly. Let's see... we have: the project (River Crossing) that never should have been built,$750,000.00 a year paid to a dispicable multi-millionaire to stay in town when he wasn't going anywhere, a water shortage that never had to be, water pipes not replaced when scheduled that are now causing massive problems, hiring an unprepared, uneducated village manager based on lies and pushed forward by officials with ulterior motives, a crumbling dam, pitted streets, dying pines making the thinning project unnecessary along with tragic, falling real estate prices, a destructive fire that evidently self-ignited, and many failing businesses that were screwed by the "Fight Back" election fanatics who were without scruples or integrity... I'm tired now. But there are more, many, many more.

Such a classy project-represented by a real classy realtor who made the headlines under police reports for beating up his long time realtor girlfriend-right there at the condos. Wouldn't you love to buy one of these "classy" condos and shuck out the big bucks each month for fees and then get cops at your door in the middle of the night-sounds like a real classy operation huh???? Maybe Haines/Nix?/Nest should go mobile and outfit an executive bus for these kinds of classy abusers???? park it right there in front of the condos and administer "therapy" while the realtor sells those classy condos???? Think about it Nix-you can get your picture in the paper AGAIN!
