Cope wrote: Re Little Stinker Thank you for saying that,The point I was trying to make is that your whole life and skill sets is not just being able to write well.I worked as a vocational teacher and I just had someone else write the reports for me!.I taught these little gang kids( that the judge sent us because the judge thought that they could be saved).I guess he thought that if you could steal a car and strip the parts you might be able to learn how to fix the cars as well.It was kind of a waste of taxpayer money because their little minds were still stuck on the street.I failed HS science yet when I took it in city college I got an A because the teacher I had in city college used different methods of teaching than my HS teacher, but it was the same material.Anyway I saw this teacher teaching kids with the same problem you have using trasparent sheets of wax paper with different colors on them ,this forces the brain to process the words differently. It works for some people.Have you tried this yet? Also when you almost drowned did you see a white lite?.I did for a while. Anyway keep up the good work. Cope...you and Little Stinker...Just keep on writing cause I don't care about the mistakes. Everybody makes um, including Me, Myself and I.

It does not matter why but women seem to gravitate to men who will listen. Don't know about horses:) It might be a bad sign but I did not see a white light. But the difference between your experience and mine is you died I came close. I remember swimming towards the surface of the water and realizing that I was not going to make it. I remember the panic and terror overwhelming me knowing that I was going to die. I had never experienced so much fear before that day nor after. But during this fight for life with the overwhelming terror and panic, it happened in an instance the terror and panic left me and a calmness and peace came over me. I remember looking up and seeing some bubbles lazily floating towards the surface and I could see the trees and sun through the water. My arms motionless in front of me. The next thing that I was aware of was gasping for air I was told latter that my cousins pulled me out of the watter and onto the dock. Some day we will meet and discuss your take on death I know my experience changed my perception.

Cope: One of the smartest English teachers I had in Artesia high school was Mrs. Lamb. I listened to Mrs. Lamb talk to the janitor one day in a vernacular he could understand but far from what Mrs. Lamb was teaching in class. When I asked her about it, her answer was this: Talk to the people you encounter in a language they understand and are able to appreciate. If it is a college professor, talk to him at his level. If it is a janitor, talk to him at his level. Many people have something to say you are interested in if you will just listen and do not put them down for the way they say it. Our janitor has an 8th grade education and had to drop out of school to help his family. He is one of the finest and most giving people I know. I still remember that short lecture to this day. My point being is that I have enjoyed our discussions regardless of whether either one of us has perfect grammar. Keep posting and ignore the people who think they are smarter than everyone else by criticizing the spelling and grammar of others. There are probably some things they are not very good at either.

Thank You for saying that,I shouldn`t have said anything about it.I took english over and over again at City College untill I put my GPA in danger so I took subjects that I knew I would do well at insted.I guess someone disagreed with something I thought, so It turned in to I must be an idiot in general.I made a mistake responding to someone that I should have known to stay away from.I know that everyone has different skill sets,I used to have a service business and I used to laugh at Medical Doctors (especially)because they would be angry that they had to pay me to do something that they thought they should know how to do ,but didn`t.I would tell them I promise not to operate on any people and I was happy that they had the money to pay me.I sometimes hang around this donut shop and these old retired baseball players talk about the good old days and I just keep my mouth shut for fear of missing something important. They gave me an original photo of Jackie Robinson when he was playing basketball for UCLA (nobody has this photo because it has no release papers)Anyway I get your point and thank you.
