Cope is still with us. He's so funny, trying to hide his head in the sand but his butt is sticking up out of the ground in full sight! Go to the "Second Elderly Ruidoso Area Man Missing" thread and you'll find him posting as Too Bad, the second post, out of Calabasas now that he's back home in California.

Bless his heart, he tried to convey condolences to the man's family, but as usual completely flubbed the most important detail: the man's name!

I don`t know any thing about tamales,My Mother lived in Mexico when she was a little girl and she is a good cook, kind of a combo of Tex Mex and southern food.but none of us became overweight.but it sounds good.

Did you, too, suffer a near drowning as a youth? Your posts seem to mirror those of Cope's in their lack of clarity and the abundance of grammar and spelling mistakes. We know the reason that poor sap is often in Lala Land. What's yours?

Actually yes along with an aneurysm. Im glad that I can give you such gratification in finding spelling and grammar errors. Its been my experience that those who spend there life finding fault in others are trying to make themselves feel better about there own shortcomings.

I guess there are harder things to overcome in life then the way someone writes.Take for example someone I know. Her parents were farm workers harvesting dates in Indio Ca.She was a brillant student and can write so well that she got in to one of the best law schools in America. That is a wonderfull story that everyone is proud of,but here is the problem, she can`t keep a friend or a job because she gets in to it with everyone she meets. I have known her for about 15 years and about 20 jobs. She has managed to destory her Mother in laws Christmas party year after year untill no one will come any more. Her husband is very nice everyone feels sorry for him.The idea of her is much better than the reality of her as a person.I guess I have made some mistakes too .One of them would be to asume that everyone would have the same points of reverence, that I have and the same basic backgrounds being born in America in a middle class home (whatever that means)and all.As far as being in La La land sometimes I have written some stupid stuff. But on the other hand some really stupid stuff was written as well as some very good stuff that has the name COPE that I don`t remember writing at all and was never even in the places that it was posted from so someone has been having some fun and games and attached the name COPE .I hope that clears things up.

Cope
I have had to deal with the (Gus's) of this world since grade school. I dont know if my near drowning had anything to do with my dyslexia or not but I have learned to Cope with it :) Those that are in the educational sector that feel the need to correct or belittle those who's spelling grammar and punctuation does not meet there standards can attribute it to some of there teaching skills.
Don't get me wrong there were two wonderfull caring teachers in my life that spent there personal time to teach me how to work through this disability. They gave me my love for literature. These two beautiful people will forever hold a special place in my hart

I have posted before and proofread it before posting. Made since at the time but when I read it later I laugh at myself and wonder what the heck happened. I still get things turned around when I try to put words and thoughts on paper. But it has taught me to look at the content rather then the grammar or spelling.

I dont know if (Gus) has had to deal with a life altering mental event but if not.
I hope he never will.
Since my aneurysm the frustrating of knowing what you want to say but cant. Its there all the words the sentences and the thoughts but you just cant get it out. The frustration of clear thought without the ability to verbalize it.

I have read (Gus's) posts and agree with the majority of them.(Gus) it would be a shame if you could not share your thoughts as easily as you do.

For this I envy you.

Re Little Stinker Thank you for saying that,The point I was trying to make is that your whole life and skill sets is not just being able to write well.I worked as a vocational teacher and I just had someone else write the reports for me!.I taught these little gang kids( that the judge sent us because the judge thought that they could be saved).I guess he thought that if you could steal a car and strip the parts you might be able to learn how to fix the cars as well.It was kind of a waste of taxpayer money because their little minds were still stuck on the street.I failed HS science yet when I took it in city college I got an A because the teacher I had in city college used different methods of teaching than my HS teacher, but it was the same material.Anyway I saw this teacher teaching kids with the same problem you have using trasparent sheets of wax paper with different colors on them ,this forces the brain to process the words differently. It works for some people.Have you tried this yet? Also when you almost drowned did you see a white lite?.I did for a while. Anyway keep up the good work.

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Sagittarius

You're feeling ultra optimistic today, which is great for summoning up the necessary energy to do what has to be done. But don't let it go to your head and convince you that you're capable of performing miracles. If you aren't behaving in this way you'll have to cope with someone who has a swollen head and thinks they're the cat's whiskers.
