I took the wrong bus home one time, and the bus driver had to drive way out of the way.I was so afraid I cant imagine how afraid this little boy was and with the wind blowing so hard and all.Its good that it didnt happen today in this storm as the boy could have frozen if he would have got lost.thank goodness he is OK

We have had a horrible time with this bus barn... I heard just the other day that a mid school kid was choked on the bus by a high school kid. According to my daughter, there were several other kids yelling "hit him.. hit him.. " and the bus driver had no idea what was going on. PRETTY SCARY... wonder what happened...

Lets end the argument.... Did the camera catch the bus driver? Honestly if the bus had been fully checked as is required he would have been seen (there is nowhere to hide sleeping or not. I feel for the parents. I have had multiple issues similar not just with bus' but with schools as well. You cannot always count on people to do their job at all or with consistency so the responsibility lies on the last person to leave or the owner, check every bus before you leave the yard!! Lets discuss a solution to prevent this....

Anything can happen to anyone, no ones perfect. We are only human. There was no harm to the child, so forgive and forget, right?

Wow, I missed this. A kindergarten child is just
a baby and I know its cold out there. Perhaps if
the driver would do a head count it would also help. This age of child is small and could easily'
hide or may have fallen asleeep.

Its the split shift that kills you.It is not the hourly wage.you work 2 hours than you come back and work two more unless you have another source of income you are sunk.

For the record I did.... I was a bus driver and everymorning after the run, and every afternoon after my run I checked the bus.... Lost my mind? You have lost yours it sounds like. People who are careless and fail to follow certain protocols put people at risk. Luckily this child was not injured and hopefully this is a learning experience for the bus driver never to cut corners. Cameras are a perfect deterent to ensure this never happens again. As well as any other issues that may be concerns. This protects the driver and students. Forgive and Forget you I will.

For the record....it was shown on the video, from the camera in the bus, that the driver did follow protocol and checked the bus TWICE!! So, as far as cutting corners? Didn't happen. It's called a mistake, DUH!!!

Do you work for the bus barn? do you know for a fact that they have cameras on the buses? I'm asking because my son had an incident on the bus and would have assumed that if there were cameras on the bus, we would have been informed. Let's just put it this way: I'm thinking about pressing charges on a few of these students and the bus driver for neglegence... bus barn knows the situation... never said a thing about cameras on the bus....
