Ruidoso Downs Racetrack Raided by FBI

After reading all of these posts it has become clear to me that the only solution to the problem is to.........
Dust off those "Fight Back" signs get the voters of Lincoln County fired up and stop all of this corruption by raising our taxes and give the last of our dollars to hubbard.
Let us join forces with Ruidoso Downs and have a one-quarter of one percent "Quality of Life" GRT tax increase vote in the special election set for Sept. 4.
"Fight Back" for our "Quality of Life" with a teeny weeny itty bitty tax increase, that you will barely even notice, so that our lord and master hubbard can be fruitful and multiply his net worth.
Remember it is "Better to give than to receive" so give your monies to the Ruidoso Race Track and Drug Emporium.

Wouldn't you like to look into their bank accounts along with the "trust accounts" of the lawyers and PAC members that pushed for the Ruidoso Downs Race Track Tax.
BTW-- the Billy the Kid fiasco will cost the Lincoln County Tax Payers at least $500,000 in legal fees and sanctions could end up costing another $100,000 depending on what the judge determines. And NO--- the self insured insurance fund is not going to pay. They backed out of this case a long time ago. This will be a direct hit on the taxpayer. You can thank the county commissioners for this financial disaster also.

Wouldn't it be cheaper for the drug cartel to simply hire a lobbyist, buy a few congressmen and legalize marijuana?

BTW-- the supposed $20 million spent mostly at Ruidoso Downs auction probably was not included with the racetrack financials. Separate business as is the casino! Yep-- they really need the tax money!

The $20 million was not at Ruidoso Downs, it was their total investment in horse racing, ranches and horse facilities across the U.S.

Rumor is that the independent hard-hitting Ruidoso Free Press will put this scandal to bed when they publish their special investigative report on the Dummies Guide to the top 10 gambling strategies at the Ruidoso Downs Racetrack and Casino.

Pictures and step-by-step instructions will be included.

Makes one wonder whether or not this had anything to do with the fire at JEH stables in Hondo a while back that killed some beautiful race horses!

The citizens of Ruidoso deserve to know how this happened and who all the players are. After all, we have quite an investment in the track. Getting everything out in the open might be liberating for some.

Well, you can start with all the marijuana and coke purchased by people in Lincoln county and the rest of this country. That is where the cartels money comes from.

Next you can ask how these people were approved for racing licenses in at least four states. You cannot race at a track without a racing license. You cannot be assigned a barn at a track without the proper state licenses. How did they pass the background check through the state police.

Your trying to make this a race track issue because you dislike the brt tax. It just isn't. The mistakes go much higher up than that.

Facts

Of course I do not like the brt/GRT tax, why should I like giving my money to a extremely wealthy person who uses his influence and power to extort money from those less fortunate. Threating to move the track and destroy the lively hood of Ruidoso (turn it into a ghost town) is cruel and inhumane. Add to the fact that Lincoln County gets nothing in return for all the money we have to give to him is just plain mean and despicable.
$750,000.00 a year would go a long way to fixing all of the problems here but to just give it to some guy because he doesn't like that the "INDIANS" got a better tax deal than he did...well guess what I don't like my taxes going up either and I will continue to boycott and complain because that's all I can do.

And I will continue to WHINE, COMPLAIN, BOYCOTT and anything else I can think of that's legal until you give back our tax dollars.

$750,000 would go a long way, not to say the total $3.75 million over 5 years, to rebuild some of the uninsured homes and structures. And, how about all the money to be spent on flood control and damage by the county, village, state, etc. over the next 5 years? Maybe we should vote in November to change the BRT to a Little Bear Recovery Tax.
