was wondering if anyone is old enough to remember homes for unwed mothers in oconomowoc wis in 1957? anyone have an experience with one of them? my mother had a child there and was told her baby was stillborn and she thinks otherwise. no matter who you contact we are told the same story. there is no birth or death record of this child. how can that be? the dr who delivered the child was dr. schumacher. looked him up and he passed away. am interested if anyone knows or remembers these places..thank you

Many mothers were cruelly told by medical staff that their babies had died in childbirth but in fact were trafficked for black market adoptions. Please join our fb group below for further information.

Lynn, My brother and I were both born in waukesha (I think) we were told our mothers were both at a home in rural summit or somewhere near oconomowoc. I was born in 1955 and my brother (adopted) was born in 1953. |
