Instruments are a NON-ISSUE in God's eyes. To make them into something more than a non-issue is "Adding to the Word of God", which is exactly what most of the CofC has done with the non-issue of instruments.

I'd like to place an Add in the "Wanted" Section.

What did happen to those guys? Did they go away? Are they scart? William you will have to be nice to them in the future.

If I was any nicer I'd be shining their shoes for them.

Scripture says "perfect love casts out fear".
Now, I'm not saying that I have perfect love,(far from it!), but it does seem to be fear that makes these CofC men vanish. Folks like Katherine and Gail and others are here and able to take on any "debates" that the CofC guys seem to love to do, but when it comes right down to it, where are they?
The Carls, the Kodiaks, the M.T. Somebodys, the Heartlands, etc etc...?? Is it "fear" that is the real reason they disappear so often? Fear that their "perfect Church" will be shown to the world as not being so perfect after all?

They might come on and say things like "Some things are just not worth my time", but that's only a bluff, and I think everybody knows it....

To the gentlemen in the Church of Christ....one of your own preachers, a "Heath Paden", said these words....."Those who believe and practice the truth never fear investigation or debate."

I think it's about the truest thing that he ever said.(He didn't practice it much, but he SAID it at least.)
But it is a true statement. Those who practice and teach truth have no fear! They will STAND. They will be Transparent. They will be open.
(And they will stick around for discussion after they've asked a zillion questions...)

And "Show me where the bible says don't do cocaine"? We are told to be "sober-minded" and such.
So pardon me, but that's a very stupid question if it's meant to somehow answer Reformed Theology's question about instruments.
One might as well say "Show me where the bible says don't carry an umbrella when it rains."

If you must have a "DO NOT" to not use IM in worship.

We must have a "DO NOT" telling us not to use cocaine while in church services.

We must have a "DO NOT" telling us not to add Dr.Pepper/Cornbread to the Lords Supper.

See where the road you have taken leads.

You bet it is stupid and inconsistent. But so is using IM in worship when we know what happened to Nadab and Abihu,Uzzah and others (Rom.15:4)(1Cor.10:11).

You are the one who went down this road. I do not teach such a thing. It seems you now admit how stupid using IM is now

But if you want a "DO NOT" for IM,I need a "DO NOT" for cocaine use.

Both are missing the mark (SIN),for neither are commanded in the N.T.(1John 3:4).

Since God commands neither one,doing either one cannot be walking in the light (1John 1:6,7),for walking in the light means we are following the commands of Christ (1John 3:7)(Psa.119:172)(1John 2:4).

To use IM in worship is walking in darkness (doing not the truth).(1John 1:6)

To use cocaine in worship is walking in darkness (doing not the truth)(1John 1:6)

Those who do these things must repent before the blood of Christ will cover their sins (1John 1:6-9)(Heb.10:26-31)

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.(1John 1:6-7).

The men of the church of Christ wonder where William is on Sunday morning and Sunday night. Come out of the darkness and come to the church of Christ. We are more than glad to speak with you and others face to face about truth.
