Encouraging Scriptures

This is one of my favorites:

"The Lord your God is with you,
he is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,

Jeremisah 32:17 'Ah Lord GOD ! Behold, Thou hast made the heavens and the earth by Thy great power and by Thine outstretched arm! Nothing is too difficult for Thee

"My Grace is sufficient for thee."

Col 1:25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God that was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known,
Col 1:26 the mystery hidden for ages and generations but now revealed to his saints.
Col 1:27 To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
Col 1:28 Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ.
Col 1:29 For this I toil, struggling with all his energy that he powerfully works within me.

Ahhh...Christ IN me, my hope of glory....the mystery....we need not just forgiveness of sins alone, but His very LIFE living in and through me...the other half of the salvation mystery.:) Being Born from ABOVE...

1 Peter 2:24-25 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. For you were continually straying like sheep,but now you have retuned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

Great Scriptures. I especilly love verse 27
to whom God willed to make known what is the riches among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

We see from this passage that the Word of God was apparently not "fully known" until Paul came on the scene.
Which, by the way, was LONG after the day of Pentecost.
So those that insist in getting their doctrine from BEFORE the Word was fully known? They are struggling to make a good tasting Meatloaf before they even have all the ingredients in the oven...it ain't gonna be a good Meatloaf...

Thanks this is certainly encouraging scriptures.

Philippians 3:9-10 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, that I may KNOW Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.

There is no "once saved, always saved" in Bible.

You are quoting from the old testament. You sin everyday even if you don't realize it. The only way to be saved is by faith alone. Faith that Jesus was a perfect sacrifice that he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God as your intercessor. To say that you can lose your salvation is the same as putting Jesus on the cross over and over.

This is the "Encouraging Scriptures" thread. Throwing Old Covenant teaching at us today and implying it is for us is not very encouraging! It's also not my Covenant! Gimme teaching from this side of the cross.
