I'm not a big fan of McCain or Obama. I don't know if one or both are Christian or not. I do believe that fair is fair. I have been doing research on both candidates an found that in fact McCain does speak about his faith in God. Yes, McCain may not be a gifted preacher but that does not make one less of a Christian. Do you agree that there are great preachers that do not walk the walk or show any fruits of the Spirit in their life? Even on these forums there are some that talk openly about their beliefs but that doesn't necessary make them a Christian.

Obama has never been a muslim and there is no evidence of him being one. there is more evidence of Obama being a Christian than there is mccain being a Christian. evangelicals (which i consider myself to be one) have great trouble with mccain because of his lack of faith. mccain has never been comfortable talking about his relationship with Christ, yet Obama speaks often and openly about his.
you can watch Obama give a Christian sermon:

if you don't want to vote for Obama because of his position on nafta, that is fine. it is your right as an American, don't base your vote on bogus smears and fears such as Obama being a muslim and thus implied a terrorist. let's us all base our votes on the facts.
Hey RC Christian,

Are you kidding? "A Christian sermon"? Now to be fair... I only watch the first 10 min. of this "so called" Christian sermon. During this time I hear nothing about Jesus Christ our Savior. It was more about Black history and the future of the blacks then anything else.(which is great but this is not a Christian sermon this was more a political agenda) I will go back and try to sit though the next 10 min. I do encourage all to watch this sermon or should I say speach? It is certainly helping me make my decision this Nov. So thank you RC for posting this site.:)

Whoever our enemies want as President, I simply vote the opposite. If the wackos, freeloaders, and terrorists choose one, I choose the other.

nice strategy william. lol

ok to be fair psalms, i wasn't calling Obama a Christian preacher, but rather a Christian giving a sermon. you can fairly argue it was more a political speech than a sermon, but he is a politician. my point was that the scripture portion was very common to most Christian churches. it is obvious that Obama is a believer and comfortable with sharing his faith.

mccain like bush sr, dole, and others claims a church and a faith, but stuggles on being comfortable with it. ask any evangelical if they feel really confident that mccain is a born again believer. anyone running for president has to be a Christian (at least no one has ever had a chance without the claim). mccain has an official faith, but lacks the strength that most evangelicals would like.

all that said, i don't think it should keep you from voting for mccain. if you like him best, then vote for him. i just get tired of the fear smear attempts to portray Obama as a muslim (and thus terrorist) since there is no evidence of it.

vote for who believe is the best candidate for president.

One of the most important considerations about electing the next President is Supreme Court nominations. John McCain has stated that he wanted Justices that had strict interpretations of the Constitution, and favored Justices in the likes of Chief Justice John Roberts. Barrack Obama has said that he favored Justices the likes of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, one of four Justices voting in effect to repeal the 2nd amendment when they sided with the hand gun ban Washington D.C.tried to impose on it's citizens.

Judging by Obama's voting record in the Illinois & U.S. Senates, any Justice he appointed would have no problem making abortion & homosexual marriage the law of the land.

7 of the 9 supreme court justices were not nominated by republicans and yet no real movement has been made regarding abortion. i have given up on the republicans for president to help ensure supreme justice. republican presidents and supreme justices only care about abortion when it is election/nomination time.

john mccain will not make abortion a priority. unfortunately abortion will not change regardless of who wins the presidency.

I think you meant 7 of 9 were nominated by Republicans. Breyer, Souter & Kennedy were wolves in sheeps clothing. Kinda like Obama himself. Consider what we might have if 7 of 9 were nominated by Dems.

Sometimes when you paddle upstream, progress is slow. That is no reason to turn and go with the flow. I want to be found doing what's right, even if it's "SEEMS" frutless.

yes i meant that they were nominated by republicans. sorry.

my point is that a republican president does not ensure conservative judges. a liberal republican like mccain is definitely not a lock on securing conservative judges. my money is on the constitutional teacher/presidential nominee of Obama to secure the best judges to stick to the constitution.

Constitutional teacher? You can't be serious. All you have to do is compare the voting records of the two candidates to see who the true liberal is. McCain is not near conservative enough for my taste, but of the two he is by far the more conservative.

That "Change you can believe in" of Obama's scares me to death.

from 1992 to 2004, Obama taught constitutional law at the university of chicago law school. you make not like him, but you can't argue he doesn't know or embrace the us constitution.

you ought to watch the whole video in context instead of guy's upset reaction to it. i have seen that whole speech several times. he is making the case that Christians disagree about the application of scriptures and so basically which denomination's interpretations of scriptures should be the rule of law for the USA. i did not take it as "mocking" or "smog" of the scriptures.

i bet you can't find john mccain mocking scriptures, because he doesn't know them. mccain cannot quote scripture because he doesn't follow them. mccain never quotes scripture and rarely mentions that he even believes in God or specifically in Jesus. mccain was the one who committed adultry. mccain was the one who divorced his wife because she handicap. mccain was the one of keaton five (part of the savings & loan scandals). mccain was the one who graduated at the bottom on his class at the naval academy. gw bush is actually smarter than mccain, at least according to academic achievement.

you want to see Obama preach the judo-Christian message watch an unedited message:

Hey RC,
Again this is not a judo-Christian message it is more a political agenda. Only the last 4 min. of this 20 min message was the Old Testiment ever mention. Never New Testiment. He only talks about the Bible in reference to slaves. Just because Obama speaks in a church does not make a Judo-Christian message.

The undecided's like myself will decide this election. The biggest turn-off, for myself, during this campaign has been the non-stop effort to discredit Obama by distorting the truth. It makes me wonder why McCain supporters need to stoop to this level. For me, that's a mark in favor of Obama. Also, if one is to consider the fact that McCain was not as successful a student as others in his class at the Naval Academy one must also consider the fact that Obama was educated as some would call an elitist and apparently took some courses in swimming trunks on the shores of Hawaiian beaches.
