Wellington Landings Middle School teacher under investigation

I actually go to this school, i'm in his gym class too, it's very upsetting to find out a teacher i see everyday would do something like this...

I am from that school, and i knew this teacher...
The kid that he so called, "acted inappropriately with" is called Alex...
All Mr. Shroeder did was just touch his shoulder while the kid was changing the the locker room...
His mom told the school's police and then the school got involved...

yea i go to that school and im a 6th grader and what a nice welcoming to the school! i have a class with him 2.It was really scary when i heard about it!!!

haha i go 2 that school 2 but im not really in his class im in Mrs.Edwardson class haha finally the school starts 2 get interesting lmao ....and yah im in 7th grade....

i went 2 that school a couple years ago im a sophmore in wellington high now but to hear that a teacher from my old school is touching kids is gross n shocking.do u guys no the kids name or at least 1 of them if hes touching alot of them? i no hes new cause when i went to that school he wasnt there but who lets a 49 yr old man touch them seriously come on now.

I believe the children are the future. Teach them well and let them lead the way. Show them all the beauty they possess inside. Give them a sense of pride, to make it easier. Let the children's laughter remind us how we use to be. And don't touch them inappropriately.

lol hes a gross pervert. i heard from somebody that he said dis "you know, your my favorite kid in boxers..." and slapped his behind. he could be lyin, but idk. i'm a 7th grader in his 3rd period class.

Man im good friends wit Shroder. Im in 8th. Every1 is makin a big ass deal bout a gym teasher huggin a student. The guy didnt do a dam thing and now his reputaion is ruined! Hes inocent!

I am a 55 year old dad and I have one student in 7th grade at WLMS. I see posts here that ranged from "it was nothing" to "you nasty pervert". Remember that just because someone is 49 does not mean that they are bad people (IT's DISCRIMINATION: that is just the same as saying that they are bad because they are black, or asian, or gay, or whatever). Please try to assume that the guy did nothing and make sure you have PROOF before you condemn him in your minds, or on this blog.

Yeah, i also got to wellington landings...... yeah just like what the other kid said "A great welcoming" I mean thats messed up how mr. shroader did that, but we dont know for sure so we will have to see and wait!!

Guys stop writing about me, it's not such a big deal. I mean i felt very uncomfortable but it's over. IDK if mr.shroeader is ever coming back, i hope not! He was so mean he used to yell at me and make all te kids in the locker room cry. I'm glad he's not here anymore! After what he has done to me and what i've seen him do to other kids i want to kill or murder him with a knife it's not even funny! I'm so pissed i mean mrs. edwardson acts like nothing happened and mr.shroeder is guilty but no one really knows what happened except me so just ask me anything!!

As a parent in another area of Florida, I was concerned about the allegations of the teacher. You seem to be the only student that is not just running his mouth about something with out giving some thought to the situation. It is horrifying to think that with a few words of an angry child an innocent man's life and career can be ruined.

That is what I thought as I read the various "comments". Children responding to something, with out any idea. Starting a comment on this website with "LOL" and spelling that is appalling for 7th & 8th graders.

Touching! We are taught to touch our children or they will become terible people. Psychology also calls it "strokes". Positive strokes and negative strokes, verbally and physically. People need encouragement. And sometimes, as human beings we "touch" each other. Yes, some people touch inappropriately. That is an unfortunate side to some people.

But some people and children, can be angry inside. Hurt by life, by words of others, by a sense of failure within, or because of feelings within that can not be expressed or spoken in a home setting that is not open minded.

After scrolling down through the comments and reading the comments from the boy, Alex, my first impulse was that this is a troubled boy. Threatening to take a knife and kill the teacher, Alex said. I truly hope by now that this situation is resolved in favor of the teacher. It sounds like an angry, confused, little boy with a drama queen Mother does not know her own son as well as she thinks. He is scared and afraid to talk and he lashed out the only way he thought he could to get attention.

I hope the counselor at school, or his Mother, has sought out a counselor for this boy Alex. Not for what he accuses a teacher of doing, but because Alex sounds like a scary, angry and potentially dangerous young adult with serious issues that need to be explored. So sad.
