Maybe the reporters got a little too biased and couldn't stay in the middle of the road??

What little information I have read/heard(second hand info.), last August there was a group of high school boys(3 or4),'suppossed' to be on the Football Team(?), got into a fight with boy from out of town(probably Roscoe), and they beat him up. But the local Sheriff can't get all of the info.(kids not talking). So the Nolan Co. Sheriff has stopped giving out 'any' info. There has always been rivalry between Sweetwater/Roscoe/Roby/Rotan/T rent/Merkle/Divide boys usually over the out of Town boys messing with some local girl. Probably 'not' that much to it, just a fight.

LAS CRUCES, N.M.(Oct. 13)-- New Mexico State running back Marquell Colston has been suspended after being charged with battery against a household member, a third-degree felony, after a fight with his live-in girlfriend.
Colston was jailed on $10,000 bond.
He cannot participate in team activities while the matter is reviewed by a school misconduct committee.
According to a police report, Colston left the couple's apartment after an argument Sunday and returned Monday evening smelling of alcohol. Police said Colston hit his girlfriend several times in the face, kicked her and pushed her against a wall.
The police report also says Colston pushed the couple's daughter to the floor.

Probably close similairities. Not like back in the good-old-days, if two boys had a bone to pick with each other, they just beat the tar out of each other?(no guns/knives, etc. just fists). Then they went on about their business,black eyes,busted lips and all. Eventually became friends maybe?

How bout an update on this investigation. Who is paying for the lawyer that filed the civil suit? Why are the names of those of age that are being investigated not being released?

Things are getting a little cinfusing. I read an article on it a while back, and a Roscoe Mother of the boy that was suppossed to be the victim was also named in the Law Suit, but I don't remember her name. But they 'all' just want it to fade away, I think,, sweep it under the carpet so-to-speak. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how it plays out.
