Don't tell me that Sandmar mess is still going on? I'm not expert but there's been times I wished I had my cell phone to take pictures of what I think is pressure being put on that retention pond. Anyone take shots with a camera and sent it to all interested parties that can help get to the bottom of the drainage problems?

Is city digging its heels in with silence to avoid financial responsibility? I just don't know what is going on. I think somebody knows something more, for as long as they need to to avoid trouble for themselves, I guess. It's not fair for my neighbors who pay the price for flood damage to their homes and I'd like to see it resolved as soon as possible.

I asked this another thread but it belongs here. What is going on with Sandmar? Anymore rain and I'm told there'll be more water problems. Shiitt draining into and out of retention pond where its not supposed will end up bad for residents' properties all over again. What is the city doing about it to protect residents? SOMEONE made a big mistake starting this "if you build Sandmar the better people will come" project!
Is American House for the elderly moving from Main street to Sandmar Village? Isn't Sandmar having drainage difficulties that the DNR is still involved in??

from what i understand the drainage issue will be resolved with a large swimming pool type area, for the elderly, i don't mean to sound mean but, they probably wouldn't see that the water was muddy anyway.

I think the drainage issues go way beyond muddy water or DNR wouldn't still be involved. Isn't
Sandmar developer being fined as long as until problem is sufficiently fixed? I also think residents who had damage to their homes deserve better from city.

What exactly do you think they should be getting from the city? MY tax dollars?

MY tax dollars pay for city employees who're supposed to know what they're doing before avoidable damage occurs. Now the city passes the buck to avoid accountability.

And where are you getting your information? Have you asked the city?

My opinions come from watching the city council meetings on tv. Watching that retention pond for myself. Talking to neighbors who suffered damage to their homes. It starts adding up to suspicion.

City council meetings aren't good enough so people have to contact the city? Bullpucky.

This doesn't make sense. If you speak at a Council meeting, you are "contacting" the city.
