I don't care how hard you work at being a sneak and defending sneaks - you're still a lawbreaking sneak. And an ignorant and whiny one at that.

"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence. You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves." -Abraham Lincoln

The laws are on the books but are not enforced basically because they don't bring in any direct revenue and they cost the dept. money. If the govt would only realize the dollars lost through social services and income tax maybe they would enforce the laws. Don't even try and tell me that they don't receive any services because I work in Ripon and know what these people collect. Even when a company finds out someone is here illegally they ignore it unless the issue is pushed.

If we all could agree that legal immigration is all we are asking.

As to people starving, really. you have 3000 dollars to pay coyotes to bring you over the boarder but no money for food. Seems a bit odd to me. sorry that was harsh, but sometimes you have to be to make a point. Perhaps if you stayed and tried to make your country a better place, you wouldn't have so many problems to run away from.

We have crippled our country trying to make it better of illegals here. American children are now homeless and hungry. We must think of our own before we can take care of everyone else in the world. we already feed most of the world and police them, with our military. Now the illegals are pushing for my job. Then putting me down for being miffed.

I do not hire illegals be cause I am not a criminal. I do not shop where they work because I will not support business people that break the law.

America is only as strong as it is because we have laws. It is up to every citizen to up hold them. That is part of being a good citizen. it is that simple. our money is our strongest vote.

By American Made, by Americans and we will all have jobs. by cheap over seas stuff and things made by illegals and we wont have jobs.

Would merc have been able to cut wages if illegals weren't working for so little, offering a better alternative to paying union wages.

Give the student a break she hasn't tried to find a real job yet. So I don't think she even realizes, the damage that is done to the country by "giving it away". I just saw a documentary on the liberalization of US campuses and was appaled by the professors forceing their veiws on students. I have always know it was "different" in college just didn't know how little freedom of thought that the average student puts into forming their "own" opinions.

But that is neither here nor there... we were discussing the power of our dollars in turning the tide of Illegal aliens in our country.

and perhaps the sending of all of them back, and have them fill in the paper work to come here legally.

A woman lives in Ripon, illegally with her daughter. She got official letter telling her to leave, expired visas. She read the bible and prayed. She stayed, lives US citizens (lawbreakers). She think God told her to break the law, work under the table watching US citizens baby and soak off of US?

I know an illegal immigrant who has been here 9 years and can only speak very limited English. They live in their own little world within the community that have translators, why should they have to learn it? The Ripon Pickle Factory is full of illegals. There is no way you can justify illegal activity. A person can say, "So what if I'm a drug dealer, I'm just putting food on my family's table." It still doesn't make it right. If you want your country to change, stay and fight for it. Where is your pride and loyalty to your country? Work to make it better instead of slinking away with your tail between your legs and skipping the border.

As far as jobs go, the illegals are bringing our standard of living down. Why pay someone decent living wages if they can get away with paying Jose $5.00 an hour in cash? Jose doesn't pay taxes, gets free health care, school for the kids,(in an all Spanish class) packs four families in a house for rent, and buys a brand new vehicle in cash.(Yes they do, I saw it done.) There is no way this country can continue to support the millions of illegals,(up to 11 million right now) without going bankrupt. Contact your congress people and let your voice be heard. People need to stop being apathetic before it's too late.

What tugs at my heart is the compassion I'm trying to teach my sons for others but now I'm seething about illegals.

My young sons are confused because illegals are people too and they see me getting angry at people as I fight for my rights against certain people. They seem taking a stand against types that my sons think are nice and haven't done anything wrong. They don't understand.

My lesson of compassion is getting sacrificed. Will my sons love people and love the people who stole their rights and forced them into a slavery?

Who will advocate for the discrimation of my sons and their children then?

Tiger the only thing you can do is explain that you are angry because they break the law. and Hope they can someday understand that, it is not wrong to demand of others what we demand of our selfs.

explain that it is not the fact that they are mexican but rather the fact that theydo not respect our country enough to come here in a legal way that angers you.

You can blame it on the government, you can blame it on the illegals, you can blame it on whatever you want, but the fact is that WE, US AMERICANS, have allowed this.
We can no longer earn a 'living wage' because what we require as a 'living wage' is way out of the ball park. We expect that wage to pay for housing, two or more vehicles, daycare, shopping, boats, and whatever. We are greedy.
Because we won't accept a job for $5 per hour they will, because we have made it to where we can't afford to work for $5 per hour the companies are moving to Mexico.
We have priced ourselves out of jobs. We pay too much for property, too much for everything. This raises the amount that we need to make, which raises the amount that we pay for other things.
Maybe if we Americans lived three families to a house and paid cash for our cars, then we'd be able to be paid a marketable living wage and the illegals would have no place to work.
As for our ancestors coming over legally, I have to question what 'legally' was at that time. There were no border patrols to cross, noone to say no. You just signed in. The freedom to come was America's lure. Now, there are border patrols, people to say 'no'. So, ultimately, the arrivals are logistically the same. The laws have changed. What makes it so though that it was okay for us, but is now not okay for them? Besides the laws we wrote?
If you remember also, our ancestors came and did the work that the locals didn't want, they built railroads, dug canals, and did the very physical labor that was not desirable.
Also, just so everyone is aware, I am German-Irish-American Indian (Cherokee).

We can't afford ourselves because of what we've done to ourselves. But illegals can afford to live here ILLEGALLY because they work for sh!t and the rest WE pay for. We can't afford to pay for ourselves but somehow our government is forcing us to pay for ILLEGALS and ILLEGALS don't care - they're living high on the hog on our dime without giving a sh!t what happens to anyone but their lawbreaking dirty selves! Yes they are dirty and they come here from their dirty homes because they don't know how to clean. So they are making OUR soil dirty and forcing US to pay for their dirt!

Illegals couldn't afford to live here and would LEAVE if they weren't being allowed to STEAL what is ours! There are some US citizens helping the ILLEGALS because these citizens are profiting - but most AMERICAN CITIZENS want illegals to go home! ILLEGALS think they are buying status with our money - all they've bought themselves is the HATRED directed at them!

Sensai, you are 100% correct. We have done it to ourselves. And it is high time we took action. Perhaps if we started calling imagration on these people they would start sending them home.
We also must stop employing them...do not shop where they work and do not buy what you know they make. It will be hard but it will help us all in the long end. Then let the businesses know why you are ot shoping them. Remember to ask because not all mexicans are illegal, some do have work permits.
for business people it is about economics, if it hurts the borttom line you change it.

Response to Someone,#34. We should not have to lower our standard of living to compete with an illegal willing to live 5 families in a house at $4-5.00 per hour. You have to remember that WE are paying their health care, schooling, etc. This is the greatest country in the world and I, for one, am not willing to live in a sub-standard third world country because others consider us greedy. Americans work HARD for the things they have. Most people I know work two jobs. You don't think people in other countries are striving for a better lifestyle? Of course they are.

Rather have the Republicans in power and go after them to fix their mistakes and stop the greed. Who has time to untwist Democrats' twisted hypocrisy and start from square one teaching them Economy 101!!!! Don't know what's worse - their corruption or their stupidity!
