I now this will make drining water more available. However, will this make more water availble for the parks and golf course? Just because we have more irrigation water doesn't necessarily mean that it will be used. It still cost money for irrigation and I'm not convinced that the city and counties put this expense high on the priority list, given the condition of the ground on the fairways and parks.
Also, I played golf on some courses that uses reclaimed water for irrigation. I can tell you, it smelled like I was in the sewer. If I can smell it, can this be bacteria free?. Is it safe to put our picnic blanet down? Can we run through the grass area in our bare feet? You old timers out there, you better stop licking your golf balls to get the grass marks off.
