Does anyone else find the Kankakee Valley Post News a terrible newspaper what with the frequent grammatical errors, incorrect information and only being published once a week?

I agree - everything is censored. I bought an ad, they never put it in the paper & then told me to get a refund I would have to wait til the following month.

Then stop reading it if it happens to be so terrible!

I would like to inform all of you in Jasper County that my daughter had a beautiful baby boy on Oct 24th. Both mom & son are doing fine no thanks to the person who hit them on Sept 29, 2007 in front of the Gas City Station on Hwy 10 & I-65.
Although the driver of the hit and run totaled her vehicle and was found by us (family) a few hours later and turned over to the police, the owner of the vehicle has still not been approached as being responsible.
The car has been fingerprinted but as far as we know nothing else has happened. There has been medical treatment and further damages that have not been taken care of pending the arrest of the person responsible.
What would it have taken to, the death of my grandson and/or daughter to act on this. Maybe they just are not very important for they do not have allot of money. You tell me????

I just want to update you that the Jasper Co. police have still not apprehended the person from this hit and run. The police report just made it to her insurance company last week. What do you think the chances are of them catching this guy after all this time?
