Agree. I cannot recall the last time a car won one of these confrontations.

You cant believe how much Money the train companies loose to lost time, routing problems. It is a huge inconvenience and very costly.
I am Praying that they can recover their losses. Since the driver was ignorant enough to go around the gates with the lights flashing.
Without trains running and shipping I wont be able to get the latest stuff getting to us from china....
Those boys are so inconsiderate. Why is it mostly young boys that do this. Maybe we can make boys wait till they are men of 25 to get their license. Thats when their insurance goes down. Because they know that's when they start driving like an adult.
Let the girls do all the driving before then. It will save lots of lives... And wouldnt interfer with the transport of important goods, Coal and such.
Oh my May...you really stepped off on this one...funny & sarcastic....but being the father of 2 boys and 2 girls...and being a driver for 35 years, I see young girls flying around the roadways at high speeds, yakking away on thier phones,eating,make-up,music and generally clueless.....sorry, but the young ladies have caught up with the boys with regard to poor driving habits !

And I prefer trains carrying our goods...too many damn trucks on the highways !

Sure send em off to war... We have 280 million just in the US... A few killed here or there wont matter much.....
If they kill themselves off early. They wont breed and pass on the daredevil genes. Making the world much safer in general.
Again May with the rattle sabering...who you trying to stir up ? And yes, men as a whole have screwed up the world in general due to testosterone ....how bout we let the women run the world for awhile...see how well they can improve conditions....

and oh ,by the way....hope these kids mend well and learn well !

I am glad you never did anything stupid, that you regret. I hope you don`t have kids because they better never make a bad choice. You want the same boys wait to get a licence til they are 25, but they are OK to go fight for our country and for you to have the freedom to make your statement, at 18. OK
I have made mistakes.. Who hasnt. But jumping out of an airplane with no parachute, Playing chicken with semi's or going around the barriers to out run trains. I haven't done. Hence my ridiculous statement about making boys wait till they are 25 to get their license.

Many boys get hurt for an adrenaline rush than girls. Usually they get hurt for inattention... Or multitasking while driving.

I guess I know a bit about physics and human flesh and bone. When a mass 1000 x's greater than you is traveling at any type of momentum.... Its best not to get in its way...... Cruuuuuunch

It's sad that these kids got hurt, but it could've been prevented if they just waited for the train to pass.

Girls - don't read these any more. Some of the people who comment on these stories are very inconsiderate, jobless and totally bored. When they can comment like they did they are trying to be funny and probably never had a family member or friend critically hurt or pass away in an accident. Keep your energy focused on the young men getting well and hopefully all young (and old) will learn from this
Or have a job that enables us to read and post comments!!

One of the boys in the accident, the passanger, Hayden, was one of my good friends. People that post comments like praying that the train conductor doesn't spill his coffee, do you have any heart at all? It was a mistake, they were young.. everyone makes mistakes, and because of that one mistake, one boy laying in a hospital bed, possibly dying? And that is what you say? Do you have any sympathy or any heart at all? I just hope that each of the two boys pulls through well, and neither of them have any injuries that could be lifelong. We pray for both and hope they pull through.
Boo friggen Boo!!!! They are knuckleheads....as soon as they heal, their fathers should slap the crap out of them for their stupid actions!!
