Is joshua Lopez an american citizen?
How much of our tax dollars are spent on crimes commited by people that should be 3000miles south of here?

Too bad they can't fry 'em. Those scumbags sure deserve it. I hope they rot in prison for the rest of their lives for what they did to Thomas Garafolo.

I feel bad for Mr. Garofalo's family. These 2 men need to be held accountable for their actions. Long Island needs to be purged of these losers. Send these idiots to walk the grounds of Iraq to look for IEDs while barefooted.

I have known Joshua for well over a year now and do not think that he is capable of such. He is a citizen and does have a kid, not that that makes him an upstanding guy but legal none the less. As for everyones first thought, fry em they deserve to rot in prison, don't get me wrong, for someone to do something like that to someone, they definately deserve to suffer. But, as of right now all we have is some little dirtbag pointing the finger. How do we know he was not set up? How do we know he actually did this? Does someone know something that I don't? In case you haven't read, the man that was killed was far from an upstanding citizen, involved in a theft ring and drugs. Don't get me wrong, it doesn't mean he deserves to die an agonizing death like he did but he didn't belong on our streets either. As for the comment made by NYC, are you kidding me? What are we 2? You're probably uglier than both of them, does that mean that you killed someone too, or maybe you would say that I am, but I do sure know that I never killed anyone. Stop being stupid people. We shouldn't judge on what we don't know for sure. We can all accuse eachother of something and say we are friends or even never met and we could possible get arrested for just a bad look. "We don't yet know. So don't make quick decisions!!!"

Wow, Selden, pretty hypocritical for someone talking about not making assumptions before knowing the "facts" and being non-judgmental to go and make assumptions and pass judgment yourself. First off, he wasn't involved in a "theft-ring." Secondly, if you think the fact that Tom Garafolo was an addict, a thief, a non-upstanding citizen, has any bearing on whether or not he should have been murdered, why the hell did you bring it up? Why mention that stuff then, if you're going to follow it with, "don't get me wrong...?" Sounds like you think his life was of less value because of his drug problem, but you're just trying to be politically correct with your asinine little addendum there. Thirdly, don't you think the police know a little bit more than what the press lets on? Do you seriously believe they arrested the guy based only on what Frederick Hollman said to the police? NO! They need more evidence than that to charge someone with 2nd degree murder. Let me tell you something - you ignorant MORON - Thomas Garafolo was a wonderful man. He had 2 kids to take care of on his own and he worked his ass off for years to raise them well. He was a warm, funny, and charismatic HUMAN BEING. And he was well-loved by his family and friends. He developed an illness which caused him to do things he wouldn't have done under normal circumstances. I am not asking you or anyone else to excuse the fact that he was stealing or doing drugs, but to consider what kind of personal hell someone with a drug addiction goes through. Imagine being hooked on something to the point where you feel like you're going to die without it? Tom did not want to be a drug addict, in fact he tried in earnest to clean up several times. He was a good person - read some of the things his son posted about him on another forum, listen to what his family and friends have to say about him. Don't define him by what he was at his worst. There was so much more to him than the fact that he was a user. Most of all, don't sit there and devalue his life because he was an addict while defending another addict for murdering him.

So you're saying that all responsible folks should feel sorry for drug addicts? No one ever gets judged at their best when there is a worst or haven't you learned that yet? ayou better take a refresher course on life!

and you better take a refresher course in logic! nowhere did i say or even allude to the idea that all responsible people should feel sorry for drug addicts. i was calling selden out on his/her hypocrisy for not extending the same compassion to thomas garafolo that s/he feels and asks others to feel toward his murderer. i was saying that when people die (especially those we do not even KNOW), and therefore become unable to speak for or defend themselves, let's not judge them based on what they did when they were at their very lowest. and thanks for the advice, but NO THANKS! i don't think it wise to take life lessons from the cold-hearted and jaded.

i think josh is a sad person who has no future going for him, he through it all away a long time ago and the only place he actually finds happiness is the suffering through others.i think we should pray for him since he has just thrown his life away instead of call him names.
