Why would a person who is in bad enough shape to need airlifted be flown to a Lafayette hospital? I've read stories lately about the over use of medical helicopters which has led to higher costs and undue dangers. If he was really bad enough to require air medical wouldn't he be sent to a major hospital in Indianapolis? Thank God everyone is OK but maybe doctors should re-think these risks.
