Why are you people obsessed with the Destitos and the Savoy? The food is the best its been in years and when we go almost bi-monthly we can't finish the portions. Thats why the best we can do is boil in bags from Applebees. Nobody supports Rome rest's. Buckys is great CPJ's is excellent so please support Rome businesse's

I've been working there for two years now and I've never served steakums on white bread. My steak sandwiches always consist of sliced center cut tenderloin. Our portions are rather large and we offer a smaller portion for a few bucks less for those old folks with a smaller appetite to combat the chains' 'Right Portion Right Price' idea. Cut the negativity. Give it a try. The place improves daily.

I think it is more like ribeye. Still a good cut of beef though.

As long as I've been there, I've been serving 'Open Steak Sandwiches' With sliced NY Stripsteak on garlic toast (not a big seller) and crispy onion strings, and 'Steak and Greens' or just the cheesesteak original with sliced tenderloin. Yep. Choice Tenderloin. Avg 8-9 bucks a pound. Bloggers tend to complain about the conformist CNY menu(s) throughout the area, but I wish I could get through a night without having to serve 90% well done steaks... Chicken Parmesan and Spaghetti. I love to cook, but I wish someone would order a special or some of the more unique menu items. Long story short; it's not always the management, owners or cooks that drive this downward spiral of the culinary industry in CNY, it's the management owners or cooks attempting to conform to the masses to stay in business. It's rough out there and these geriatric retirees keep us in business. I'd love to take a chance, food is my life... but its hard to take oneself seriously when the patrons won't take a chance themselves. I'm trying to steer clear of the negativity in my posts, all I can say is stop by and give it another chance. It's a coinflip whether you'll end up with an ace server or not (some are great... some are old hens who couldn't care less about your experience) but there's new cooks, new management and a new menu.

You are doing a great job and the food has always been consistant and very good. You don't have to justify anything, people in Rome are thrifty to be generous, I've lived here my entire life, and will complain regardless. If you want a good inexpensive meal, you go to The Franklin, you want a very good meal, you go to Michelina's, Savoy or Teddy's, not to slight Aquinos. Anyone that says any different just has an ax to grind or is jealous which runs rampant in this city.

I'm sorry, you are right, I stand corrected, I've never had a bad meal at Bucky's. It is also a great place for a small 25-50 person party, very accommodating.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Cancer

Take things gently otherwise you'll end up running round in ever-decreasing circles. Yes, you may still have a lot to do but you won't achieve very much if you develop butterfingers or waste all your energy on a full-blown panic. Maybe you could rope someone into helping you, rather than doing your Cinderella act in the kitchen while everyone else takes it easy?
