as far as drilling for oil, it will not decrease the prices of gas by any significant degree and certainly not in the short run
it seems a knee jerk reaction among the public
seems mankind doesn't have enough sense to know the environmental impact they cause upon the earth which probably means not much of a future for our children and grandchildren.

I read the Long Island SUMMER ENTERTAINMENT CALENDAR in Newsday and as the President of the METRO Parrot Head Club representing: Long Island, New York, New York City, New Jersey & Connecticut, I was wondering why there was NO mention about Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band playing Jones Beach on Wednesday Evening, August 27th?

When JB@JB rolls into the Nikon Theater it is one of the largest parties on all of Long Island! The METRO Parrot Heads are made up of a very large Long Island population. At every function we party with a purpose supporting all different charities in the Tri-State area. To leave us out is really a large oversight on the part of Newsday.

I invite you to come down to the parking lot on August 27th and photograph a group of people who really know how to enjoy music, life & Long Island.

i believe that there are presently several alternatives to the gasoline engine used to run our vehicles. however, you may not see, or hear about them because big oils money will not allow it to happen. the first automobiles manufactured in this country ran on alcohol, and did so for a time. but then, the rockerfellers, and their money, put them out of business so that we would have to buy the rockerfellers gasoline. its all about money folks....

You're so right. Next thing they'll be telling us is these guys will be flying fully loaded airliners into skyscrapers in NYC! Ridiculous, isn't it?
