what kills me about this situation is that they give 10yr tax breaks to companies money to relocate etc...then they go belly up and pay no one anything.....come on Romans.....regardless of how you feel....this was a hardowriking family that employed people and gave good honest food....I will truly miss their food...As far as the people looking strung out there well...go to work and work the shifts they did...standing in front of those ovens all day and then take pic of yourself see how you look....you people make me sick....judging people....really....becareful how you judge others because it says you will be judged by the same standards that you use!!!

Didn't the people who ran Luigi's rent the building? If so it's the landlords fault and not the people who run Luigi's.

Your saying that the people who ran Luigi's didn't pay taxes made on the sales of the food. If so then yes it's their issue. But I was under the impression it was for property taxes and if that's the case it's the landlords issue.

I am one of the first people to complain about property tax rates in this state. We get soaked here to support a government that is barely effective. However, sales taxes are another story all together. There is really no excuse for not paying sales tax. You collect it from the customer (seperate from the sale item) and you give it to the state. It is as easy as that. At no time should a business look at that money as theirs. It actually ticks me off because these scumbags were charging people extra money that they just pocketed.

Oh shut it. You sit here in judgement of an entire forum, so I hardly see how you can criticize anyone else for "judging". Furthermore, Luigis should have been paying taxes, period, end of story. I don't want to hear some lame excuse about how someone else got a better deal therefore no one needs to pay taxes, that's idiocy. I pay taxes right out of my paycheck along with many other Americans, the people who own luigis were ripping us off by not paying, and it makes me sick.

KY WELLER wrote: <quoted text>That is no different from NYS government... what does that mean? sales tax is a tax collected on sales you make and is owed the state, it must be paid in full quarterly. Property taxes are just that taxes on property not sales.

Doesn't anyone remember that the landlord of that building had it shut down for taxes a few years back...That is why it isn't a bakery anymore. Maybe the landlord is still in trouble.
