Diane Shoemaker $73121, Chris Mercurio $62326, Janice Sharrino $36003, Carol Brigandi $??? Ed Seelig $48804, Dennis Gillen $42313, Matt Andrews $39654, Rachel Powers $35492, Steve Huntziger ???. Thats well over $400k plus benefits. So roughly $500,000 in salaries. FOR WHAT???? If this city was progressing in any way maybe I could see a return for my tax dollars. But come on! We need to reduce this staff by half at least.Aparently these people cant come up with any ideas for Rome.Get rid of them and start over with fresh ideas. The same old same old isnt working!

You're real trash, buddy. "I'm a taxpayer, therefore (insert ignorant and outrageous demand here)" you have no say in anything, and thank God. Are those numbers too big for your pea brain to handle? Will you be happy when everyone makes minimum wage like yourself? Go drop dead, bottom-feeder.

Hopefully higher than that of the person who struggled to construct that embarrassing excuse for a sentence. I cringed reading that.

Sometimes Yes, Sometimes No, but to say that Rome isn't recovering from the debts of the previous mayor is a lie. In the first few months, this administration managed to save the taxpayer more the quoted salaries for the above individuals and have managed to cut our debt almost in half by June. I am eagerly awaiting to see Q3 reports since we know this city has saved considerable sums of money through cuts in the administration and expenses to our city.

It's great how people who know NOTHING about a position feel qualified to make judgements it. Let them do what they do and you stick to making burgers.

You still havent answered my question. What do these people do to deserve this kind of money? Other than bashing peoples education, you have no answers.Explain how this dept. deserves this pay for basically nothing. Look around.......you see the same as most everyone in Rome.....Nothing! And by the way grants are funded by whom? The taxpayer.

Yeah! Fire the whole city hall and everyone who works for the city! Then we can pay no property taxes at all! We can all start living like animals- this "civilization" thing is for limp wristed types anyway. We should all live off whatever we can strangle.

It doesnt take a genius to make some cuts hereand there. Anyone adultcan do that with their own finances. Good question what do these people do to justify 70k a year, and what IS their education level, good, valid questions.

All four year degrees plus. It is a valuable department in obtaining grants that yes are taxpayer funded but result in improvements and upgrades at much less cost to area taxpayers. I'm sure they would be happen to enlighten you and you could also check out the website.

Almost all have college degrees, and all have plenty of experience. Some people have worked for the city for a long time- and worked their way into positions where they happen to make decent money. What's the solution- fire people once they start to make a livable wage or valuable experience? Maybe you should worry about yourself and work a little harder if you feel you'd like a higher salary instead of bitching about people who have.

You'll notice only two salaries are over 40k. One is gone. If 35k seems to you like too much pay for a dedicated employee with a degree, you need your head examined.

First off all, anyone that can sit through a two day, eight hour class and become a grant writter. Not saying its an easy task, but spare me the degree bullcrap!
I am interested to know what grants are being applied for what programs? Downtown development? Reinvestment programs for the "BASE" or they just all admin wanna be think tank grants, where there is just a bunch of cronies circle jerking about what we could or should do.

Ummm idiot, any tax payer can say anything they want about any government position. Yeah because we need to go to college to understand the job title. You remind of just another dumb mofo in Rome, an old person too if that.

Someone is being very informative and helpful, especially if you want them to explain something that you don't understand, so listen carefully to what they tell you. This is also a great day for making some travel plans, perhaps by arranging to visit a friend you haven't seen in a while or by discussing where you should take your next holiday.
