They weren't thinking. We had a damn good chair and they screwed him over by making Grande chair. There was not even a vote on the matter. They didn't even tell the former chair or the committee members until a meeting at the Polish Home. As far as I am concerned its been down hill ever since. There is no Democratic Party in Rome any more. Its called a Repubcrat party, because the Republicans tell him what to do, and he does it. Thats why I left and so did many others. If this is true, he wouldn't have this position. Why didn't the committee fight this? I agree he's a pompous ass. Its funny someone that's this big of a loser is as pompous as he is.

Oh yes its true. You can find his name on an earlier post. All you have to do is ask anyone in the committee who is still there and they will tell you the same thing.If you don't believe it you can ask him. He may tell you to go fly kite because there is no love lost with him and the party.

Because the Democratic's are so bad they can't get enough committee people together to have a meeting, let alone vote. Even if they did no one would want the job, since there has not basically been a party in Rome for years so why bother. They all kissy and snuggle up the Republicans anyway, so Grande being chair is nothing more than amusement.

Where has Paul been? Is he in hiding again? I haven't seen him around.

Where did the other thread about Paul go? Someone must not like the truth out there. It was some interesting reading.

There are very few people in Rome that would take the job even if it was given to them and they were not voted in. If any of you are really concerned, start going to Democratic functions, back the people you want or volunteer yourself for a position. Talk is just that, talk. Paul is a decent person, he does what he can and important for a political position, he knows just about everyone in Rome.
Our Democratic party is floundering. It does need some help. Rome is pretty much a one party town anymore. Again, too bad but mostly our own fault. Mine as well as yours.

so all you folks are perfect? sick of posts that bash every single person. i dont know this guy but im sure like every story there is good and bad and the truth lies somewhere in the middle. so how about a shout out to anyone he has helped? these organziations are volunteer .. correct ? so he's giving his time - so much mean spirited crap on here. i bet most of you all go to church on sunday too ... do you think you are any better than he is by this ? ok said my peace on to next topix

Lastlaugh or Paul, there is no middle with this guy, he is no good. If he helped someone, I guarantee he was trying to get something out of it. He is a big fat loser that doesn't care who he hurts to get something he wants. He is the biggest laugh in Oneida County Politics.

Cowards? Coming from someone who is also not posting under his or her real name, that is funny. Since when is posting your name required? By not posting your name it does not mean you are a coward it just means you have the right to express and opinion without fear of reprisal because you don’t like what someone says or is doing. Paul is a big boy, and he most likely could give two shits about what people think or say about him. That’s one reason I give him credit for not coming on here and try to defend himself. He could care less, and everyone has the right to express an opinion, and on here posting your name is not going to change someone's opinion. If you are so secure in thinking by posting your name it will give you any creditability then you are wrong. I for one went through a thread in which I posted my name. Suddenly my tires kept going flat, my business was vandalized, my house spray-painted, phone calls against my family, and all because I supported Brown, and I expressed my opinion about Fusco and his antics. There are people who know who I am by just posting what I have just said. However I am not going to make it public again by posting my name. No I am not posting my name, and neither should anyone else, and until Topix changes next year where you have to use your name to post then I will quit using Topix to express my opinion. If you are so adamant in others having to use their names then post your own. If you think you are so secure in your comments, then it should not be a problem for you.
