Jim Hovers

Does anyone know this man and his wife Tammy Hovers? They want to rent from us but they have a bad reference from a former renter...They also seem to lie about where they work for a reference check as well...Anyone got any info just let us know...

Even I,ronron,would not do what you have just done. Why put their names out in cyberspace like that? You intentionally did that lowlife stuff.You are not cool.

Hello ronron, Why do you say not put their names out there? I just had a few things we wanted to find out...This is public forum and I thought it would be a good way to find out...Please don't pass judgement on me because I am not a bad person...I guess I was mistaken to ask a simple question...Also, I am not worried about being cool--I'm a grown-up that doesn't worry about being "cool"....But I guess that's why I am revoking my questions and appologize for any wrong doing?

It will never happen. topix gets over 100,000 posts a day. Now out of all those posts see how many have ever gone to court for a civil trial for libel. Maybe one or two. Like I said, it will never happen.

Probably never went to trial before because both parties couldn't be identified. This poster has clearly identified two people and posted some someewhat personal ino and I'm sure they know who he/she is.

I agree with you though, if you have doubts and if they have lied, don't rent. We have a couple of rental properties and when we first started out, we got the renter from hell. In the 6 months it took for us to get them out, they almost completely destroyed our house. They paid their rent though. We now suspect they gave us a bogus reference.

So, use the gis to make sure that their so called landlord really owns property and try to trip them up when speaking to them. Once my husband callled a reference and asked what the address was of his property and he didn't know. You almost have to become private investgator. We have had to let one of our properties sit for quite a while now because we can't find a good tenant. But that's okay. A good vacancy is better than a bad rental.
