To be sure, this type of looting is opportunistic and based upon years of upper-class society looting and taking advantage of the lower class. The results are clearly visible today:
- High commodity prices (thereby giving this type of crime a higher value to risk edge)
- General unaffordable conditions throught the area for the working class.
The current housing bill to "save housing prices" is a misguided bomb that will do only harm. It will ensure more theft and criminal activities - as that is what they will need to afford the ridiculous costs (largely housing, but now also groceries & gas) of Los Angeles.
The rich have clearly looted the poor - through WallStreet. We have all been robbed by the money brokers. Now people like Mozillow will get their golden parachute - jet off to the French Riveria and we will be left to deal with the mess in their wake.
