Judge rules photog can sue Keanu Reeves

Keanu needs to counter sue for harrassment! People, as fans, we need to figure out a way to help bring down the paps. It's not right or fair that they can do what they do! I personally feel as if they should all be charged as stalkers!

It's as if the paps don't need to worry about the law! So as citizens, we have no rights for protection of any kind? I don't think so. Keanu needs to bring a suit against this man and whom he worked for! Where's our Rights as humans? Our world protects the wrong kind of people, doesn't it?

You know I have a bad feeling about this lawsuit. I hope I am wrong but I bet that this slimeball silva or whatever his name is -is gonna win big on this. California law is really screwed up when it comes to cars and pedestrians. And unless Keanu is really willing to get up infront of jurors and tell them what he was thinking that night I think silva has money coming to him. Silva is slime x 1000 this was entrapment on silvas part. He was looking for a quick buck -and sadly I think he is going to get it.

I have a bad feeling too. I hope he does testify and that the case gets thrown out.

I'd like to see people testify that the slimebag was out doing the same thing to others just days after. Show that this accident didn't hurt this scum ONE BIT! I'll bet they'll get the witnesses who originally said that the lowlife seemed to fake the injury in the first place. Also that Keanu stopped his car, got out, and checked to see if the jerk was ok. If Keanu had intended on hitting the moron, I doubt he'd have done THAT!

Does anybody know where burden of proof lies in this case??? On Silva or Keanu??? The lawyer that has been commenting on this case on another forum hasn't mentioned this yet. Anybody know??

I'm just glad that Keanu wasn't charged! I was wondering, what if people started a petition about how the paps do, and if maybe somehow, the law could be changed to protect the people instead of the paps? When I was small, they couldn't do like they do today. They had to have appointments just to get the story and pics. I think it needs to go back that way. We would have to somehow make contact with other stars who have been harrassed by the paps, then get the public involved, maybe then, it would change.

That bad feeling I think, we all feel right now. I'm pray'n for Keanu, but that man is more than likely after the money, and might have done this just for that. Time will tell.

Silva - the plaintiff always has the burden of proof.

I just have to throw my two cents in on this one. First off, I would hope the lawyers are smart enough to check into this guys life since the accident, I mean he has been working he has gotten the crap knocked out of him because he is a smart ass and pushy photographer,{x17 paps got hold of him at some Britney sighting and 3 of them beat him up and he is suing them as well}. It just doesnt sound to me like he is that hurt. But then again, there is that little video of him in the hospital and he looks pretty bad, My guess is its the bandages and all but all in all he makes it sound like hes really hurt.
Keanu's lawyers are saying the guy should have gotten out of the way and blah, blah, blah. I want to know why they arent looking in to see if maybe this guy is a fake, yet there is never mention of that . Doesnt anyone agree that given all the pics of him and hearing all his stories and all that instead of saying he should have moved maybe they should look into him just being a gold digger and prove it, it cant be that hard.

I haven't seen any pics of this guy, nor have I seen any video. Where was this information?

rocky-they are on youtube. at least they were. and they are also on a couple of keanu's fan sites. I have seen the one of him in the hospital and I could have seen him with the big purple eyes from the beating he took from his fellow paps but I was just happy that he got beaten up so I didn't look at those. There are some Keanu fans looking for the video of him running after someone a couple days after Keanu hit him. They are kinda mad this thing is going to trial!!!

I think Keanu should sue the guy for harrassment! If he repeatitly asked him to get out of his way and he didn't move taking pics of him instead, to me, that's harrassment. If this man is one of many that are always following him for a story and hanging out at places he knows that Keanu would be at, then I would consider that stalking. The press say they are protected, where's the rights of Keanu? I pray Keanu counter sues that man. It's the only way to stop them. I also think it's time the laws change to protect people more. Keanu said he just barely tapped him. To me though, the main point is, the man was asked to move and wouldn't. I'm check'n in on some things about the laws covering these kinds of things. I'll let ya know as soon as these get back with me.

Rocky65, all I do know is The Sun USA has a video of Silva only I dont know how to link. If you go to the sun USA and type in Keanu it will bring up all kinds of stuff about the "accident". Silva is even quoted as saying "he thought he was gonna die". It also says there were lots of witnesses If this is true I hope Kees lawyers are on top of that as well. You mentioned the Plaintiff always having burden of Proof. Hopefully the witnesses are photogs and if they are, hopefully they work for x17. I just really am upset that this has gone this far, knowing how much Kee likes his privacy yet willing to fight this makes me feel like his lawyers have something big.

Dee, Tap on him, No. I believe the wind from the moving car got him. Really, didnt this man say that he got hit on the knee? Yet on his video he is wearing a neck brace. Why are the only versions that are being posted those of Silva, where is Keanu's version?(correction) where are the true versions, Oh hell, or Keanu's same thing right. If a person were to step in front of a car and the car hit and killed him by accident is it not true the judge could rule it accidental death. So there is a difference here? I dont see it. lol, wind? I think the neck brace was from his so called fall. Oh Gypsy, in an accidental event, such as the drivers is on the road, and say as much as if can happen, a child runs out and gets hit. The driver, if not under the influnce of boze, could then, yes be rule as and accidental death.

Now, in Keanu's case, even though he repeated asked the man to move, was awhere of the man, and proceeded to drive, which let to the tap. In all reality here, and I know none of us want to face this, he could be charged with attempted murder.

Knowing hitting the man, the car is considered a weapon. If silva had died, Keanu could have been charged with involuntary manslaughter. If Keanu can prove that flashing lights prevented him from seeing the man at the time of tap, thinking that he had moved, then Keanu can win this thing.

THANK GOD, he was just tapped, and I think why Keanu has kept quiet about it, is for the trial. I just hope his lawyers has sense enough to counter sue for harrassment and stalking in this case. The man was truly in the wrong, we all know that, it's just like, what kind of mood the judge will be in on that given day. We all just need to keep Keanu in our prayers.

Dee-no the ruling she just made about this going to trial she stated she didn't think this was an "accident". Thus that is why she is sending it to trial to have a jury listen to the evidence. But the bright side of all this is that -what people on another blog are saying-lawyers-that the judge knows Keanu didn't want to hit the guy but was trying to get him to move. It will be up to the jury to decide what compensation silva gets if any. I don't know-could go either way.

Yeah, I already knew that. I'm just worried that the jury won't see it in Keanu's favor, and man, I'll be so pissed if that man he's him behind bars. If he does, that man better watch out forever, cause I'll be dogg'n for him, oh yeah, I'll beat the crap out of him and make him wish he had died! I'm not letting anyone hurt Keanu. Yeah-I know what you mean. Jury's are strange but lets hope we get a smart Jury instead of a feely Jury.
