Obomination
|
CHECK YOURSELF wrote: Strong racial bias, big girl haters, bullying, nosey neighbors and profesors of business. You are all one big bunch of pompous idiots. I was there, I KNOW that these allegations and fortune tellers are all FALSE and you should be ashamed of yourselves. You should check yourself. The Redondo Police played video evidence at the hearing to shut this obomination down. Allegations? We have proof. Is "racism" all you got? By the way, I LOVE CURVES on my HIGHWAY!

Can we start a petition to get this thing stopped before it even starts? How can the new owner ignore what happened in Redondo Beach? He can't and he hasn't! He's in it for the money. Well, guess what Mr. Mondragon, as a resident of San Pedro trying to support downtown businesses, Levels will definately not be on our list. In fact, we're going to spread the word to stay away. Now, instead of attracting a clean-cut crowd, you're going to get the "trash" crowd that will destroy your $350K investment. Remember what they almost did to the Warner Grand a few months back when they let the Hip-Hops have a night there? Open something nice and quaint that the resisdents and visiting patrons can truly enjoy and relax in. That's what people want more of in San Pedro, not hip-hop, trash-attracting niteclubs!

RB Witness

I was unfortunate enough to be in the area of the RB Pier on a regular basis when Moxie opened it's doors as "Club Curves." During the entire time that Moxie / Curves was open, it drew the absolute worst, unruly, disrespectful patrons I have ever seen. I also had the unfortunate opportunity to deal with the owner, Ms. Shadoe Gray, on a regular basis. All she cares about is $ and does not care that her club attracts gang members from Compton, Inglewood, Los Angeles, and any other gang-infested city that you can think of. What surprised me the most is the fact that there were never any shootings at the location. The City of Redondo Beach did its residents a great service by closing Moxie after numerous nights of chaotic fighting. The people of San Pedro need to do whatever necessary to keep this terrible club from opening in their city. All you need is 30 seconds on the club's website in order to see what you'll be dealing with.

Big Girls Club
|
Big Girls Club? I am from Miami and in South Beach there are NO big girl clubs. Also, I was living in New York and there were No big girl clubs either. This is a nice concept. Maybe the fact that the club is catering to plus size women is what gave it infamy. Interesting..... Big girls need love too!

I agree with the poster that says the article should have been entitled, "Shadoe Gray Lies Again!". That is all she has ever done. Lie and use people. Gray and her ex partner tried to kill each other over the DJ, hence EX partner.(Redondo Beach days) Moxie has opened up in another location under a different name and "is not longer fronted by Shadoe" *cough cough. Right. All of her unruly guests hightailed it over to the bbw club in long beach, and started problems there. That club is a dangerous place to be now. There were two separate incidents of violence in May that was reported in the paper. That club promoter (also now without a partner)also loves the money more than safety. So much so that in order to keep those people coming back, she let everyone in free on the same night that Moxie had its grand reopening. All of these big girl clubs started from the adult porn industry. They promoted their clubs on those porn sites and solicited young women to pose for them. Two of the three domains are now inactive. The three main socal bbw clubs consists of promoters who have backstabbed each other and numerous folks, lied to a multitude of people, are only out for the money, claim to be supporters of the big girl movement, and are really all about themselves.
