Now for the next episode of Cops. Where's my popcorn and Budweiser?

That place is such a dump. Tear it down and build something the community can enjoy.

Aside from the bickering going on, there is an obvious point being ignored in this discussion. Namely, the loss in business to the shoe store, toy store, antique store, cosmetic store, crystal store, Christmas store, etc. While these stores may not be mainstream catering to a huge market, most of them do have a loyal following who are being inconvenienced by the lack of parking and the general mess caused by the "construction." And this inconvenience to customers translates into one thing: loss of business to business owners who do not deserve this.
The remodeling was and is needed to update the shopping center. Constructive management clearly also is needed. But don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, folks. There is still much to be redeemed here, and it will be...the question is merely WHEN.

I have to respectfully disagree. There is enough parking still available that if all the stores you mentioned had the most number of customers they have EVER had at one time, all at the same time, there would still be enough room for the driving school to practice driving in the parking lot. The stores are actually better off now because they can use the excuse of the dirt in the parking lot to explain the amount of dust and dirt on thsir shelves. It is the same huge amount of dust and dirt they have always had, but now at least they have an excuse which could help their image.

to mr. Disagree, you must be blind!!! or just stupid and wanting to be funny. the pathetic swapmeet takes up the entire parking lot on the weekends with the exception of the few spaces the alpine village "keystone cops" security force keep open for the inn. Customers complain to all of the store owners about looking for a parking spot while pedro and his friends are fixing cars in the parking lot. maybe you are busy fixing your car or lawnmower out there and dont see the amount of other people. the stores all look nice inside except that guy on the corner who smells as bad as his store looks. once they fix it all up and kick Byron to the curb. the remodeling will help the outside and business should pick up again, thanks fir the vital updates "DIRT" keep it up

The remaining open stores would never be allowed to operate in the squalor they present to the public in any other marketplace but Alpine Village. I've been inside the stores recently and they have stacked up faded out dusty boxes stuffed into corners, greeting cards that are so old they are browned on the edges, and dust that has been there as long as the cards have. You are either blind, stupid, or have a really low level of understanding of what a business should look like to keep customers coming. The swapmeet is and has always been an eyesore. The mechanics fixing cars and whatever else are and have always been an eyesore. Great job Mr. Concerned for noticing that, but not so great job for not noticing that the rest of Alpine Village is just as big an eyesore, and has been for a LONNNNGGGG time now. The only thing you said that showed you aren't "blind" or "stupid" was that Dirt Reporter is doing an excellent job.

Dirt Reporter, are you sure that the water "sheen" you saw a couple days ago wasn't the result of them moving the porta potties a little bit? I'm sure Zoe would still take that as her (inside information) positive proof that the Board of Directors and the Contractors said everything will be finished on time, September 12 for the best Oktoberfest ever!!!!! "Yes, invite your family on vacation from Cancun to Oktoberfest starting September 12 in Alpine Village. It will the best one ever, we will have so much fun!!!! The Board of Directors and the Contractors say so!!!! I have inside information, not like the rest of you, and I have an extensive business brackground!!!"

Its official, the Oktoberfest charity fundraiser is now canceled. Thanks to the STUPID shareholders who were duped by the scheming Andy and Nari Weller, and Gerald King, Oktoberfest is officially canceled. Shareholders, you got what you deserved. With the Rotters gone, the dividends are gone, and so is the reputation of the Village. As a loyal customer for over 20 years, I’m officially boycotting Alpine Village until Teri and Hans are back and fix the disaster their ungrateful daughter and son in law has caused.
