I new this person in my childhood. He lived in the same townhouse complex during the late 70's and early 80's. A definite crybaby. Always cried when he got tackled in pickup football games. He moved away a few years prior to this horrible crime he committed.

I met him briefly when I was working at Central Juvenile Hall in East L.A. I didn't know who he was or what he had done... so I asked him. He stated, with a smile, "187 PC".
There was something very wrong with that kid.

The two girls he murdered were my school friends and even now, at the age of 35, I still cannot rest because the memory of this heinous crime has forever tarnished my peace of mind. I always wonder what this nutcase is up to now and if he will ever, God forbid, be paroled. Above all, I wonder how the families continue to cope.

A sick mind, poor parenting and drugs were the recipe for this heinous act of murder done to these two young innocent girls.

It was my understanding that this guy was adopted, not sure at what age however. Poor parenting could have been the problem not sure. I sure hope he does not get paroled, i cannot imagine what would happen if a true sociopath was released.

not sure what you mean however, the headline read "crybaby sentenced 67 years (or so) to life" (paraphrased). The crybaby reference definitely fit.

kevin hindmarsh should be executed A.S.A.P.

The problem with this animal and all the others like it there is no soul or love in the place where the rest of us have a heart and care about each other. It does not have anything to do with who your parents are. As a christian I clearly see this as the evil one that will never be rehabilitated.

Families never recover when their child or loved one is violently murdered and I speak from experience! I wish I had recognized the evil one that lived behind me for over ten years. Saten takes on any form and face that it can aquire.

There is no excuse to be made for Kevin's unthinkable and horrifying acts.
In some way, however, we all share blame. Kevin was an awkward kid who was regularly the target of bullying. He tried to be liked. He tried being funny. He tried buying his way into friendships, handing out money for snacks at school, paying for coffee and food at the local coffee shop. People usually made fun of him or ignored him, but they were also usually more than happy to take advantage of his offers to pay for everything. And I vividly recall a large group of guys deciding they would all beat him up--just for the heck of it.
Kevin's actions were absolutely despicable--Most human beings could never imagine visiting such horror upon such innocence.
We must also remember the role we might play as catalysts to such monstrous acts. Nobody knows how far you can push another person, and cruelty--clearly--begets cruelty.
My heart aches for the families of two little girls and the girls themselves--all lost the opportunity for a lifetime of love and the fulfillment of hopes and dreams that were born with their first breaths.

I remember how shocked I was when this happened! It was just a few days before, if not the day before, Kevin came up to "the group" and we use to all hug each other hello and goodbye. I also remember I was wearing a skirt and I was sitting on the fence made out of pipe by the office and when he came up to give me a hug, he pushed me over...I was so embaressed! I remember running after him, like I am half his size, just to yell at him, and he DID RUN like a baby. Honestly why was he afraid of me, I was 5"4' and 96lbs!

Kevin always seemed nice to me, your typical teenage boy, teasing/fighting/partying.

The word was that he was on PCP. There was a murder behind my house a few years earlier, and the teenagers that committed that crime were also on PCP.

I will never forget the BLOODY SHOES, and how they followed his bloody footprints, and the police found him jumping roof tops...gaud it was like it was yesterday.

I WILL NEVER FORGET!

My friend from Miraleste, his sister was friends with one of the deseased, I remember the services were huge!

We "the group" were so afraid of the day Kevin got out. It was said that he told someone that he was working out and getting super buff in there, and when he got out, we better all look out.

CRAZY, that just wasnt the Kevin I thought I knew.

Very sad.

RIP lil girls

Boy you took the words out of my mouth. I was at Rolling Hills High when this happened and played football with Kevin. I remember him harassing small kids at the bus stop near the Arco Station on Hawthorne Blvd. I am in law enforcement and recently left the homicide unit. For some reason this guys name has never left my thoughts, probably because it was so horrifying what he did.

Does anybody know where he is or when he gets out??
DG your recollection is gossip, and untrue. Did you see the shoes, or the footprints?? Yes, the shoe were bloody, but he threw them in the washer, with no shoelaces. The only footprints were near the scene, not some trail. On the roof, yes,of the garage, jumping roofs in Ridgecrest, no. He didn't even do it at that time, it was later.
I'm sorry, but I've been haunted by this for 23 years.
Seriously, if anybody knows anything, please respond on here.
I figure, if my ex husband can find me, anyone can, if they look hard enough.
Ciaccio, you're a cop, can you find out anything???
